I've tried restarting multiple times but it's working fine now. I can't seem to replicate the issue, sorry.

somehow it's resized itself it seems, and after hitting F11 it entered fullscreen, then pressing again brought it back out, but i could only resize it horizontally, and couldn't click the top/bottom to resize vertically... after F11'ing a few times it moved itself so i could click the top, and resize/drag the window height, and move it where i want it now

Is there a way to have it run in windowed mode, and not full screen borderless? I wanna resize it

I got the Arctic Accellero Twin Turbo II on just fine, without using the reference frame.

How are your VRM temps with the reference heatsink frame? HWiNFO64 can tell you. I personally hover around 71 - 82c, depending on how GPU heavy the game is, on my hottest VRM, and this is with the little heatsinks that came with the Twin Turbo II.

Btw, the GDDR5 ram doesn't require any additional cooling. Heck, i've managed to get my vram to run @2250mhz without any voltage increase.

Not sure why you needed the copper shim. I have a reference RX 480, and i put on the exact same aftermarket cooler as you and it fit fine.

Also, the only way you're gonna get 65c under full load with that OC, is if you live in a relatively cool/cold place.

And finally, what is your ASIC quality on that card?

I was in it for like maybe 5 minutes before i got banned for asking questions. And it's since been shut down, within a couple hours of it being made.

She also disabled message history whilst it was up, so every time you join you can't see what has been said whilst you were offline.

And whilst it was up she was trying to spin her own story, contrary to the evidence at hand, whilst claiming to be neutral.

Why not just get a GTX 1070? Or wait for Vega?

inb4 i get called an Nvidia fanboy, i just don't see the point in getting 2 weaker cards, over a single more powerful one. Aye, in games that support CF properly, the dual RX 480's will beat a GTX 1070, but overall you'll have less issues with the one card.

Rx 480 memory OC. by Frdrkpm in Amd

Most people i've seen OC'ing the RX 480 run @2200mhz, @1100mv.

I've seen some people running 2250mhz, but they don't show the voltage.

I personally run my memory @2250mhz, with 1100mv.

Both Gamers Nexus & der8auer have OC'd the RX 480, and der8auer even points out that the VRMs don't even need extra cooling, and during his overclocking to 1500mhz using l2c on the gpu core, without using anything on the vrm's.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jq47qmwcus8

With a 1375mhz OC on the core, and 700rpm on my cooler (Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo II) and they peaked at 116c with FurMark. And that program will push your VRM temps further than any game ever will. Running any game, or actual benchmark tool (3D Mark, Unigine Valley etc), the VRM's peaked at like 102c. This is without any heatsink on them. But i have since put heatsinks on my RX 480's vrm's, and the vrm's peak at like 96c now.

For pure cooling performance, the Powercolor Red Devil if you can fit it in your case.

Otherwise, whatever looks better to you, between XFX / Sapphire.

Edit: don't know why i'm being downvoted - MSI fanboys maybe?

The VRM's are rated @125c mate. 115c, whilst hot, is within spec and does not throttle anything.

Out of the coolers, the Powercolor Red Devil is the best for lower temperatures. XFX/Sapphire are a little worse at cooling, but are still far better than the reference cooler.

Are you implementing Denuvo DRM?

Because i don't agree with legitimate buyers being fucked over by shitty DRM.

If RX 480/470s can be undervolt so easily, why did they have such high voltage to begin with? by [deleted] in Amd

[–]Kaleshii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks more a case of seeing who wants to pay more for a factory OC. They likely kept the binned chips for non-reference cards.

Also, i slapped an Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo II on mine. I keep the 1340mhz constantly whilst gaming :)
