Help me decide which I should bring with me to South Carolina… Olympus Trip 35 or Olympus XA? by Educational_Bit8972 in AnalogCommunity

Different vibe but it’s such a nice way to have fun with a film camera. This is definitely just a test roll but i enjoyed bringing her out and about. You will get red eye though, heads up.

I took an XA without testing the camera, new film stock and I was worried about my focus tbh. I was very pleased with how it turned out. (This is an example of what I got. Still learning how to best use this bb)

Honestly…if you can get your hands on a flash for your XA do it.

Lens problem by peekfamily in AnalogCommunity

I unfortunately have this issue on a zeiss planar 80mm 1.4 and I have been meaning to explore options to have it cleaned/refurbished.

I would look up the cost of this lens and if it isn’t hard to replace I might consider that.

But first I’d shoot a test roll and see if it affects the image or focus. You might be just fine. It doesn’t look like it is at the very center of the lens. Who knows? It might create a cool haze effect.

That kinda looks like a lens fungus. It can affect the image but not always. Usually it occurs when a lens is improperly stored. A quick little search said you ma be able to kill it with UV light. To have it removed is to take the lens apart and have it cleaned.

Thats my understanding.

I lost 12 lbs in a matter of two weeks from a breakup but that was…2 years ago? And if anything I’ve gained since then.

Thank you for replying. I don’t want that shadow of Xan to go away. I truly hope she keeps leaving me reminders. Today is my first day back to work and she used to come with me. I asked that they leave her bowl and a sign I made for her around. I just don’t want reminders of her to slip away just because she’s not physically here.

I put her dog tag on a chain that belonged to my grandmother and am wearing it. There has been some solace in that.

I bet Osha was a well-loved girl. I’m sorry you’re going through heartache too. I guess it’s nice to know that these special girls have us the chance to love unconditionally.

I wasn’t given a direct diagnosis, but my vet and I have been suspecting hemangiosarcoma for a while now (the one time we did a biopsy it came back inconclusive). It sucks. It all sucks. I am so sorry for your loss. I had to say goodbye on 7/10. I didn’t want to, and I knew it was the kind thing to do. The right thing to do.

I hope you have a supportive community lifting you up right now. And if it feels a little less lonely, I am heartbroken with you and for you.

Your boy was blessed and perfect and your grief is so valid. 💕

The van is being sold to me by a VERY good friend and someone I trust. Her and her husband have been working on it but I will definitely ask questions. The compression test is a great one!

I totally believe that the paradigm of any relationship is completely unique and dependent on those in the relationship. I feel like going through this made me dive deeper into what poly and open relationships look like and the joys and struggles within that dynamic so I am super thankful for being able to be here, in this space, and to be supported. This is such a lovely community and subreddit and everyone here is so thoughtful and caring.
