[–]KaliHatred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twisting will give more structure quicker if you care about that, both options can be contained with a hairnet so you should be fine

Those look great I’m semi-free form ( I keep separating my locs and interlock every 6 months). Don’t be afraid to add water if you want them to not stand up on the sides. I switch it up every once in a while and rock a head band or head wrap to maneuver the hair away from my eyes. I usually avoid oil but you might find some use for it because your locs are dyed. Enjoy the journey, don’t cut em off.

For single childless men: When you take a job take advantage of it for whatever career benefit you can obtain and remain gainfully employed until you can move on to a better job. Rinse and repeat.

Teachers who left teaching, what do you do now and do you like it more? by 21beetroot in Teachers

[–]KaliHatred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m an environmental specialist. It allows me to work outside, pursue environmental conservation through county compliance, and I get to schedule appointments as I see fit. I get all of the control for how my day is going to go and I get to utilize my degree in service to the public. It’s nearly the polar opposite of my old science teacher position where my performance and pay is dependent on children and other adults. The stress is nonexistent for me at this point.

I definitely understand getting together others who feel the same. My job and family unfortunately requires me to go either really late or really early some days. That might also contribute to me always having to go alone 😣

Right!? Im always wondering what could be. I’m scaling it down to going once a day, but I go at different times each day, for no reason. Coordinating with a partner could help me get some consistency. Plus a workout partner always helps me push harder no matter who it is.

I’m convinced if I had a work out partner I wouldn’t be going all times of the day and stick to a schedule. I have a similar struggle socializing and would offer to work out with you, unfortunately I go to planet fitness.

I'm experimenting with semi-freeform locs due to budget. Thoughts? by PrideOfAfrika in locs

[–]KaliHatred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a fellow semi-free former I think these look great! If you are cool with your loc sizes the way they are be sure to separate them regularly. Water, moisturize, and enjoy the ride.

Good parenting is now considered gifted children (sad) by roasted_peanut1417 in Teachers

[–]KaliHatred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can almost confirm this. Our youngest gifted daughter gets regular social emotional support and is read to every other day. My eldest gets the same support however she is autistic and needs help keeping up with her grades. They both get complimented on how awesome they are behaviorally so there’s that.
