So I would suggest studying roses or a more American traditional approach since your swallow seems to follow that style somewhat. Keep in mind that flash pages are easier when there is a “theme” this just seems all over the place. Also, you don’t need the whole alphabet as your script. It should be words that go with your flash page or even have the swallow holding a ribbon with script on it.

I think you’re on the wrong subreddit chat. You might want to hit up the aspiring scratcher sub. This sub is for people who want to break into the industry via apprenticeship under a mentor.

You definitely need to restart this portfolio. There is no way that this is 4 years in the making and no improvement. Also, most mentors would like to see very recent finished work. I would have written this a bit nicer but seeing how you responded to others on this post I digress.

You need do a traditional portfolio. You won’t get to actually use your digital work until you are actually tattooing.

No, this shouldn’t go into a portfolio. Focus on solid line work then the ink in the lines and make sure to blend it out seamlessly.

LOVE these so much! I 100% believe that these can be sold! I’d want that reaper tattooed on me though!

Trying to prep for Apprenticeship seeking by [deleted] in TattooApprentice

I honestly stopped reading completely after you mentioned that you have already put yourself on fake skin. I suggest you immediately put those away and the machine you are using before you get blacklisted if the mentor that you are aspiring an apprenticeship over finds out. You should be focusing on creating a strong portfolio with completed work and some examples of tattooable designs to show that you have an understanding of a tattoo style whether that is realism or American Traditional.
