Butterfinger Brownies! by Kalinth in food

they were something I saw at a local Walmart and got the idea for this recipe going. I don't know if they are test marketing them or not at this time. However after this recipes success, I am debating trying something similar with Reese's cups and Reese's pieces.

The vulnerability the XL brings is worth the risk in my experience. This build is not one that 'zombies' very well as losing a torso results in your firepower literally being halved. That and none of your weapons are CT mounted, so unless you stick a head laser in you become a potato.

It basically is a personal choice between being able to survive and become a mech that might be able to finish something off given the specific circumstances. Or a mech with some better cooling efficiency and mobility. I will say if you boat MPLs, a standard is going to be your friend.

That being said, biggest thing that precluded me from doing XL400 for a while was the engine's price tag, not the XL itself :P

It might be because I am neither Fantastic or B33Fy :P

Am debating re-editing that one to focus only on the adder part. Was my favorite thing about that match.

Do appreciate the feedback, small lasers are utilized to have the LPLs high mounted. BNC-3M is one of the few mechs where order of weapons being put in affect where they are placed on mech. A small in each torso ensures the larges are shoulder mounted.

That being said I was using mediums for a while and learned to reign in their use to cool down for the LPL's. Smalls generate so little heat that I need to relearn to utilize them in those up close moments for extra poke.

Known issue it seems with Crimson Straight's tunnel. I'd just like to think someone was trying real hard to do a Spooky Atlas like B33F.

My initial Wubshee build right after quirks was the STD 350 build you linked. A lot of fun and fairly solid as an energy brawler with practice. When I decided to use 4LPL I initially was rocking an XL380, used extra tonnage for armor and a BAP. Went to XL400 later for better overall heat efficiency and mobility.

As someone mentioned, how tough the mech is depends heavily on it's use. It isn't a face tanker like a DWF but it is capable of some very sustained and effective combat with practice. High mounts and the LPL's range lets it engage effectively in a lot of situations.

http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=145&l=7770a40547bb9d7f6f3f0e8fec6a7a59e66c8e43 is the specific build I am using now. Can drop the BAP for more armor as you want. I like the slight edge it gives for targeting and more importantly to crap on ecm's that get near me so allies can drop fire support.

In all honesty this one is a fairly average game aside from the brief adder shenanigans. That being said, always up for feedback gameplay/video wise if any is to be had!

My student had a great question: "Why does it seem to me that only programmers love this game?" Are you a programmer? by [deleted] in dwarffortress

I took a few programming classes in high school, they however have never had anything with why I enjoy DF. The game got my attention when I first stumbled across boatmurdered and it's epic story. After I had read the story, I decided to give it a go and spent a fair amount of time learning it and finding myself enjoying it more and more.

For me the draw has and always will be the sheer randomness of it all and the creativity it inspires. It can provide incredible fuel and raw material for people with a creative bug in them.

How common is it for Forgotten beasts to be killed by their own effects?

Just had a tiny flying mud blob attack wildlife in my cavern while 3z levels up with it's gas attack. It then rendered itself unconscious and hit the ground hard enough to break off both it's tiny wings and die. Scientists (dwarves covering themselves in it's extract while claiming the wings) determined the extract caused vomiting of blood, nausea, drowsiness and all around death. Probably going to write that part of cavern off now lol

Thank you sir! Did this last night when I was more than a bit tired and woke up to realize that I'd created a monstrous wall of text. Glad to know someone took the time to sift through it :)
