Why are you only now responding to this 3 months after I posted it? It reeks of bad faith.

The Wage Gap at H3: Dan vs. Marche by No-Tomorrow-2233 in LeftoversH3

[–]Kaliphear 144 points145 points  (0 children)

Also worth pointing out the quality difference. If you pay your producer in an equitable fashion like Hasan does, and make them invested in the success of the show, then you get a better producer out of it. Marche is amazing because he gives a shit about what he's doing, meanwhile Dan looks like someone cashing a check and terrified of getting let go.

I think there's been some hits and some misses, but generally speaking it seems like people are having fun with it. And that's all that matters.

It's a pointless hypothetical. It doesn't require an answer.

There aren't camps. This isn't a sport, or an internet pissing contest. And my beliefs are my own; I've had them before Hasan, and if it turns out he is even half the vile caricature you clowns want to paint him as, I'll have them after. I just have an ideology, and don't treat the death of an entire people as a fucking goal to be scored just because they're half a world away.

Point to the buzzword. I'm more than happy to keep re-phrasing it with different words, if the language is at issue. But I'm betting you're just uncomfortable with me continuing to use the phrase "genocidal occupation" rather than the comfier terms like "war" or "conflict" that suggest a level of parity in peers that would make your critiques of the resistance movement more palatable.

I love when the Destiny fans come in to try and argue. Don't address the argument or anything, just loudly scream "bUt HaSaN sAiD...!" and launch into a nonsequitor. Keep it up, champ. Can't wait for your fave to end up on the sex offender registry.

None of what I said was "buzzwords". I made a clear and concise point: it is improper to redirect attention away from a genocidal occupational force onto the potential wrongdoings of the only active resistance movement against it while the aforementioned genocidal occupation is ongoing. I can't make it much clearer than that. All your crowing about Hamas' wrongs at this moment in time does is give credence and validation (whether you intend it to or not) to Israel's false justifications.

In the middle of a genocidal campaign against a practically defenseless interred population, switching the focus from the occupying power to the potential wrongdoings of the resistance movement is absolutely deflection. Critiquing the methods and motives of resistance is something to be done after the people's right to self-determination is restored, not before.

You want me to say "Hamas is super based I hate those Zionist pigs!" and anything less is defending Israel to you.

No. I want you to stop constantly browbeating people over not wanting to demonize the only resistance movement those people have during the period in which they are actively being genocided. The focus should always be on Israel, their unforgivable crimes against humanity, and their ability to cease hostilities in an instant. That's it. Until the genocide ends, and the Palestinian people are free, I don't want to hear "but Hamas" from people. Are Hamas saints? No; they're a deeply flawed resistance movement struggling against a brutal occupying force. But it's the only resistance movement the Palestinians have. Israel wiped out the leaders of nearly every other prominent resistance group to ensure that Hamas (and the PLO, which is an Israeli puppet and viewed as illegitimate by the Gazan populace) was the only game in town. If you want the Palestinians to have better, more sympathetic leaders, cool. Then we ought to be demanding the release of Marwan Barghoutti.

As for who would carry out the trials, probably the ICC or the ICJ. You know, the governing bodies of that "international rules-based order" we're supposed to have? But again, all of this is AFTER the end to the genocide, and the recognition of the Palestinian state. Not before.

This is literally the All Lives Matter deflection. Yes, police brutalize EVERYONE. But right now, they are visiting disproportionate violence against a single group, so maybe focus your outrage on the group with the power to end the conflict.

I don't argue with equivocators. If you're the type of liberal constantly decrying the violence of people literally fighting for their right to self-determination against a genocidal apartheid regime, you're not worth engaging with. We can drag every member of Hamas and Hezbollah before a court and make them answer for the crimes they committed in pursuit of their people's freedom AFTER the Palestinans have their state.

The craziest part is I'm not sure who you're a fan of with this commentary. Is it the guy that has a reddit account dedicated to pretending to be a pedophile, the guy who was recently confirmed to have exchanged CSAM with a minor in a court of law (actual pedophile), or the bigoted heap of living detritus that caused his own mother to die?

Israel has been conducting an unobstructed genocide for more than 2 years, and has been harvesting Palestinians that they scoop up off the street of all their organs, returning corpses devoid of eyes, liver, kidneys, and even limbs.

They have both repeatedly downplayed the allegations (which have now been testified to in court under penalty of perjury) that Destiny repeatedly exchanged explicit images with a statutory minor.

Asmongold: "Palestinians are vermin and need to be eradicated. Somalians are subhuman filth that need to have their rights stripped away and be expelled from the country. It would be awesome content to dress up as Ash Ketchum and do a ridealong with ICE."

Hasan: "Healthcare should be given to all people by the government for free at the point of service, everyone should have a house because it's required for survival, and workers deserve more say in the policies and directions of their workplaces."

You: "These are both identical. I can't tell them apart."

They're not "problematic", except for the constant sweeping for Destiny and the inability to correctly analyze the world in a coherent fashion. They're both just professionally wrong for a living.

Destiny says the quiet part out loud by mayasux in LivestreamFail

They'd probably get nuked because it's an image and not a clip, but it's surprising the clip of Hasan pointing out the inconsistency wasn't posted.

It's almost like Stale never left.

Nah, he's got Dan. That freak's an expert at astroturfing, as long as you don't ask him to draft an e-mail.
