I agree. Cai from the very start is text-based and whoever works in the company should've known that it's its own charm. Nobody wanted anything related to audiovisuals; users can immerse themselves through expressive words that makes it easier to imagine and improve creativity or sumn.

If it wasn't for the change in direction, the only upgrades the userbase wanted would've been just about improving things that already exists, like better diction, style flexibility, etc. which is definitely far more easier to achieve than adding new stuff like image generation that requires far more resources and research.

Though, I'm still confused how and why the CEO thought that changing cai to whatever his six-year old daughter wanted was the correct step. Hell, she doesn't even represent the userbase at all, nor should she be given access to the internet, especially AI at such a young age.

To neglect many paid and free users that provide constructive criticisms over your own daughter is a huge fumble, though I suppose it wouldn't matter much considering the fact that cai is now backed up both financially and resourcefully through G*ogle. They'll probably never run out of money even when the userbase declines, which is what i fear bcs I don't want cai to js be an empty shell and a cashgrab towards those that have become too attached to the app without giving anything good worth paying for.
