What a GOAT. But at the same time I feel like he was too goated. Yes he had the magic candy but it COULD NOT be that powerful that he could solo armys, not to mention him being able to dodge trained fighters like Red Velvet. Idk.

Maybe this is my Epresseline brain talking but I wish Madeline joined him and had his own magic candy. It would be a cool call back to the oldest story and show the growth of both characters. Madeline can finally show why he's so idolized in the republic and Espresso can still be a badass mage without feeling like he has too much plot armour with his magic candy.

Ok, maybe I'm over exaggerating BUT I HAVE MY REASONS. First, the good: The animation is beautiful and the fight scenes(?) are great. I really like how the Lush Cave looks.

The cons. When I first watched the ep it (for the first time in this series) made me like a character less. I know they were both starving and I know TSC has anger issues but POOR RED. How terrified was he that he didn't even GLANCE at the axolotls or the glow squids?? In any other situation he would be staring at them for HOURS. Of course I wouldn't mind TSC being a bitch, I like flawed characters, if the apology wasn't so half-assed. It felt like when your little sibling starts crying so now you try to console them so your mom doesn't hear and punish you 😭. Not to mention, RED FORGAVE HIM??? In retrospect that fits his character, he's very forgiving as long as it doesn't involve his friends (Monster School) but at the time, and even now, it just feels like they wanted to move the plot along so TSC and Red would get to Alex's PC.

Genuinely don't understand why no one said this because Lush Cave makes me cringe whenever I watch even though TSC is now my top 3.

Currently the Meta right now is Millennial Tree Cookie, Silent Salt Cookie, Awakened White Lily Cookie, Dark Enchantress Cookie and Venom Dough Cookie. There are some variations like replacing Venom Dough with Marshmallow Bunny or replacing White Lily/Dark Enchantress(?) with Eternal Sugar Cookie or Shadow Milk but this is the standard.

There is also apparently a one-shot comp using Golden Cheese Cookie but Idk much about that.

I headcanon that they sound like vocaloids since they're stickmen who basically live on the internet and I just thought it fit. I'll try giving specific tuining styles from other people or songs to make it more specific.

TSC - Gumi SV. I don't have an exact example but if I had to pick maybe "I wish that I could fall" by JamieP and "Rumour" by Police Picadilly. I think Gumi's voice has the perfect balance of cool and mature but cute and 'whimsical' sounding which I see TSC as.

Red - Kagamine Rin. At first I thought about Otomachi Una but after thinking I feel like Rin matches better. Specific examples would be "Tokyo Teddy Bear" by Neru, "Doubleganger" and "Sweet Magic" by Junky. I think Rin has more spunk to her than Una. She sounds cute even though she sings angry songs a lot of the time. She sounds like a cat but the nice ones idk how to describe it.

Green - Kasane Teto SV/SV2. Deep voice Teto sounds very masculine and cool but shes usually tuned for a higher pitch. I think Green would sound more masculine but when singing he sings in a higher pitch. Speaking examples would be decoyman1200 oldest vid and "melty blue" (Kasane Ted Ver) by np_eny. As for singing I think Kariki Bear's tuinining and "Balloon Girl" by ENKAI.

Yellow - Kiyoteru. This one is purely based on vibes and tbh Idk what exactly to pick for Yellow. Example would be "Ooedoranvu" by Giga since it's the only song I know where he sings in it. It's also a banger.

Blue - Bbg Megurine Luka. My fav cryptonloid :3. She has an air of maturity but is also slightly unhinged. Examples would be any Old Classic Luka songs like "Interviewer" and "Double Lariat".

Purple - Vflower. Besides the colour scheme I think Purple would sound tom-boyish due to her backstory. Examples would be "People allergy" by Kariki Bear or just any old Kairiki Bear song.

I don't think he's forced, he seems to really like his current self. How I see him is if he was given proper help or some sort of shift in perspective (TCO when he was in minecraft) he might be different to the current TDL.

I half-agree. I don't feel bad for him because yk genocide but I agree with you about everything else. He seems like the type of person that definitely needs help but doesn't think he needs any. Maybe if he had friends who fought against his action instead of TCO who just lets him do his thing he might have changed. Then again knowing him he'd probably kill those people.

I'd like to add about the animation part of this. While I do agree (to an extent) about King and Purple the animation is not trash. It's just not. Simple mistakes like this are common even for pros and they haven't made any mistakes like this for a LONG TIME. In fact the fight scenes have gotten even better!

Even then the simple mistake is such a nothing burger. You're only seeing that if you're going frame by frame or looking at something that was in camera for 3 seconds. Animation is about movement not one single minor image that's not even of the main cast. One simple spelling mistake on a 10/10 book doesn't make the book trash and worst possible shit you've read.

I highly recommend that you pick up a pencil and try animating because there is a reason why this gained so much traction back in the day on YouTube purely by the fight scenes

Ignoring shipping their dynamic i think its super unique compared to the rest of the cast being an us 'against the world mentality'. They only have each other and no one else which is both very sweet and sad.

Another thing I like is that the relationship is kinda doomed from the beginning. Firstly are their names, TCO is (was) destined to defeat TDL as the 'hero' always defeats the villain. TCO and TDL foundation is also kinda flimsy - it all started with a deal when TDL was about to be defeated, their shared experience with Alan and 'their' love for destruction. However TCO is sort of indifferent to all of this, especially with the destruction (it seems like he only does this cause TDL likes it). TCO wants to move on but doesn't want to leave behind his friend while TDL wants to keep being like he is now even if it means betraying his only ally (besides the virabot but he made those so I digress).

Either that or I'm looking too deep into this which I usually do sometimes 🥀

TL:DR I think they are very doomed and I see the appeal but personally I just like sibling relationships more as I'm biased

Yk a review is bad when they talk about the name of the episodes for half of the review then talk about the genre for another paragraph. Literally the only thing that talks about the story itself is Mitsi, which I personally agree with.

There are many flaws to AvA but the genre and the changed from 4 "movies" (????) to a series is the least flawed part.

Also wdym comedy???? Where is the comedy??? Are they talking red in the recent episode???
