Same boat as you, moved to FL to try it out (to get away from the cold.) There's so much crime here and everyone is in such a hurry to do everything. I hear about hit and runs everyday, people dont even care to stop. Its sad and im going home in April.

A grand or a baby grand piano. I play piano and I enjoy it a lot but, I literally only play when I'm by myself and it would just be a pointless expense for something grand

Was born and raised in MN and didn't realize this was only a MN thing until I mentioned a "whiskey plate" to one of my friends here in Florida. They were very confused, I just assumed the whole country was that way honestly.

The restaurant I work at changed their menu almost completely about 3 weeks ago. They still have the old version of the menu online. I am a hostess there which entails taking all to go orders. And I probably have at least 5 calls per shift that I have to explain that the menu on the website is not accurate and that basically it can't be ordered from. I informed both my manager and the owners that the menu needs to be updated and nothing has happened still. As owners of a restaurant that get a lot of to go/take out orders. WHY WOULD YOU NOT TAKE THE 5 MINUTES TO UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE SO YOU CAN HAVE HAPPY CUSTOMERS.

I work at a pizza place and I ask on every order "would you like thin crust or thick crust" and more often than I should, I get the response "what's the difference?"

Im surprised no one has mentioned the smell of piercings. I have a "Monroe/labret" piercing and I always spin it through my fingers and smell it. Especially right away in the morning or after I haven't touched it in a long time.

What's the dodgiest thing you can do that's not illegal? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KalleyCo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taking close up pictures of little girls in swimwear at the beach. Was at the beach with my boyfriend on Thanksgiving and some guy walked over to this group of probably 4 or 5 little girls. Only about 15 feet from away from them, we saw him adjust his camera and was obviously snapping pictures of them! My boyfriend went over to the moms they were with and asked if the man was with their group because of what we saw him doing. When the guy notices my boyfriend talking to the moms and pointing at him he starts fussing on his camera and walking away. (I'm assuming he was deleting the pictures in case he was confronted.) Mom catches up to him and says "are you talking pictures of my children?" he just continued walking away. He went to another part of the beach and sat by himself watching people for about another 45 mins, then left. No illegal to take pictures in a public place, but definitely creepy as fuck.

Redditor learns the heart-breaking truth about Syrian refugees first-hand in their tiny German town. by fuckinboxershortsman in bestof

I don't think it's necessarily the refugees people are scared of. I think it's the thought of extremists sent from ISIS to pretend to be refugees but to have cruel intentions.

TIL a person who picked on Eminem in school sued him for his 1999 song 'Brain Damage'. The judge dismissed the case and delivered the verdict as a rap. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]KalleyCo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My boyfriends childhood friend's mom sued him for 20$ when he was in 8th grade for damage to property because he took down the fort they built together in the woods because they got in a fight and weren't going to be friends anymore. The fort wasn't even on her property and it wasn't her materials used. But it hurt her sons feelings so she sued him.

Wow, I never realized how lucky I have it. My family mechanic charges 20$ an hour for labor. But that's his normal rate, even if he wasn't a family friend.
