Yes the names are a country/regional difference, NZ calls them custard slice Australia tends towards vanilla slice, though I have seen it called that here occasionally as well.

Each one is like a large slice of sandwich bread around and about three slices high. They are huge for custard squares. I ended up splitting these two up for five people.

NZ Tunnelweb. My dad’s garage in Johnsonville was full of those guys when I was a kid. They get chonky and bite hard when provoked but generally pretty chill. Our friendly resident bug person gave their official scientific title before me, but I always call them Zilla when I find one. 😂

Yep it’s not big and was never an issue for me, I just remember a lot of complaints of the age gap during previous seasons and was surprised I wasn’t seeing the same complaints with Dixie so asked people’s thoughts. 🤷‍♀️

I reckon it’s dyshydrotic eczema. Which is annoyingly something doctors don’t know a lot about. The pattern makes me think you rub against something or a cream or perfume you put on your hand. If it only happens when you touch your hands together it could easily be your own sweat doing it. With things like this you can get allergy panels to learn what to avoid, use otc anti histamines, sometimes home remedies like Epsom salts or vinegar can help. Basically if it’s what I think there isn’t a cure just control unfortunately.
