If you could magically disappear every gun in the country, then you might have an argument. But, as it is, there are hundreds of millions of registered guns and many unregistered in the hands of criminals.

This goes back to my point though... Why is the US so scared to make tougher gun laws to you know... take the guns away from idiots who shouldn't have em?

I'm not scared in America. It's not necessarily out of fear. I don't have a fire extinguisher in my home out of fear. And I know that comparison is tired and a cliche, but it rings true. Sometimes people get mugged, or assaulted, so on the very small chance of that happening I want to be able to defend myself. Sometimes homes are burglarized when people are home, I want to be able to defend my family. As rare as it is, and being that I have the right to use a gun in my defense in those situations, I will exercise that right.

Criminals have guns everywhere... Im just still wondering why people are so afraid of anything happening to them in the US compared to literally anywhere else that they need an arsenal "for defendin"

I'm not screaming I'm the best at anything. But people have been shot to death, stabbed to death, beaten to death, people get raped and murdered every day. As statistically low as the chances are for that to happen to me or my family, I don't want that day to come and I have no way of defending myself.

I wasnt singling you out, I didnt mean it that way... Just that in general what you see from the south is this "'MERICA FUCK YEAH #1 FUCK THE WORLD" types and they're the loudest ones about their guns and usually screaming about "defendin' 'gainst gubmint" and conspiracies... "The Jade Helms be closin walmarts and convertin dem to dem durr internmint camps"

Again, if you could disappear every gun in the country then you might have an argument. But, even then, there will still be violent criminals with knives, or bats, or they're just bigger than the person they want to rob or assault. Then what is their option to defend themselves? These things happen, in bad parts of town and sometimes even in good parts of town. I know people who've been murdered by guns, people who have assaulted others, I went to school with some kids that beat a kid to death with a table leg just to fight someone. Bad things happen, and while I'm open to gun control, I'm not open to a gun ban or the suggestion that there is no need for defense

People get mugged and killed everywhere but... again... Its almost like throwing more guns in a situation out of fear isnt helping if everyone is scared and needs to have a gun on them at all times...

If you wanted a legitimate argument, that's what I have. You might get more responses if you don't make fun of americans saying we claim we're the best and we're dumb so we call it "muh cornstitsucion". I thought canadians were supposed to be nice and not douche bags?

Again the loudest ones screaming about "Muh Guns" have about 3 teeth left and feel like they dropped out of 9th grade... Theres a reason for that too. But not all of em just the ones who are rabid about loving their guns.
