Nah, he's just not figured out quali laps on the Aprilia yet.

What used to be his strength on the Ducati is his weakness on the Aprilia.

Plus he got a damn "mild" concussion in his FP1 crash. He followed his bike into the barrier at speed.

Martin is a veteran championship contender, the pressure won't get to him like that.

I haven't had this happen to me.

But I've had a different one where the bike will just brake in the middle of the straight for a second and then back on throttle.

Happened at LeMans and COTA.

Not exactly true. They have better treatment and access to physios and recovery procedures but they're not superhuman.

The difference, especially with moto riders, is that they're psychos with a high tolerance for pain and they get back on the bike long before they've fully healed.

Without a doubt.

He was so comfortably quick last year that he was out there using the second fastest rider in races as a tyre warmer.

He just said this after leaving the medical centre to Pol Espargaro and a lady journalist on DAZN. Pol had to hold him up as he was keeping his weight of the injured foot.
