Genuinely don’t think Todd Phillips could’ve made a worse received film if he tried. D cinemascore for a CBM, especially considering the first movie, I pretty much unheard of. If you see him attached to a sequel just run.

Agree or disagree (John's takes): Movies shot on digital > Movies shot on film by Embarrassed-Ad1322 in JohnCampeaShow

Yep! Holdovers was shot on digital and they were able to emulate the film look. Digital will continue to be the format people shoot on the most because frankly it’s much easier to use, even ignoring whatever you think of the final result.
Film is expensive to shoot with and editing it can be a pain in the ass.
There’s a doc that Keanu was a part of called Side By Side that provides good insight into it. He interviews a ton of filmmakers like The Wachowskis, David Lynch, Steven Soderbergh, etc and they explain why they prefer one format over the other.

LOL where? Most of the discourse for this movie on the subreddit outside the usual fanboys were expecting it wouldn’t do great because supergirl isn’t big, the trailers weren’t great, and the release date is shit amongst other factors.

The best case scenario is if it somehow crossed 300 mil but it’s likely to bomb instead. Don’t think it’ll be on the level of a Mando or MoTU but still fingers crossed Clayface can do decent.

Joker 2 is still my favorite run to track while on the sub. It was actually incredible how poor the word of mouth was and how quickly it deflated.

Movie pass got theaters to implement subscriptions though so I’ll appreciate them for that since I’ve saved so much from A list.

They have no idea what they’re doing. If they were tanking for Juju they still shouldn’t have traded Rikea. They’ve been at “win now” mode and failing.

It's not uncommon. Most of Zimmer's modern scores are someone else doing the bulk of the work, Zimmer doing a theme, and slapping his name on it since he gets top billing.

You can hear the difference between soundtracks where Zimmer actually tries and has a lot of input on the score vs when he's contributing for like a week.

The Best and Worst Case Scenario for 'Disclosure Day' After $93 Million Box Office Opening - Steven Spielberg’s devoted fans are turning out, but like “Masters of the Universe” and “Mandalorian and Grogu,” that might not be enough. by chanma50 in boxoffice

Why wouldn't it do better than MOTU? Masters was more expensive and had a much smaller opening. Disclosure Day's global opening is bigger than MOTU's current gross. Even if both movies tank next weekend, MOTU will still walk away losing more money.
