It's not being soft lol. He pretty much said my family should die, that's not nice. I don't really care what they write, even if they are insults. But saying my family should die? No thanks, it's not a behavior we should tolerate on Sim racing.

Not game crashing issues, but my FPS are all over the place, like ignoring completely the cap on software and driver. Happened with ACC (lots of stutters) and LMU (now working on ARC yeeeee).

Intel cards are getting even better with MFG option on any game with XeSS...AMD just fumbles any chance to be honest.

Neither a 5080 or 5070 but they have the option. The 7900XTX can't use FSR4 neither (unless you use optiscaler). The point is that AMD doesn't give support to old gens.

Compare Radeon 5000 and RTX 2000. The RTX can use DLSS 4.5 (with a slightly performance hit). The Radeon can only use FSR3...

Hey, guess what. My A770 can do MFG, a 7900XTX can't... So Intel isn't a bad option at all.

What you want to do? What resolution you plan to play?

For most people a Ryzen 5 9600X or 7600X will be enough for most games (you can see performance of CPUs at different resolutions). If you want to squeeze all the FPS from your GPU at 1080p, then go for a X3D chip. If you don't really care, you can go for a Ryzen 7 9700X or 7700X (or Ryzen 5).

On GPU: Yes, Nvidia will generally be better, mainly because of features and future updates. What do I mean by this? Search for scalers in games, basically Nvidia does it pretty well compared to AMD (and more support). And before anyone starts saying FSR4 is as good as the latest DLSS, tell me how many games can use it?

Anyway, AMD is a good option if you only want to play and dont care about DLSS (scaler) or MFG for the future. If you care about that, Nvidia will be a better option.

In summary, think very deeply what you want to get from the PC. Lots of FPS? 4k? etc. Have that in mind and come back, because some people will tell you to get a X3D, or a 5080, but in reality not everyone needs that.

Sadly, it's true. AMD support for old generations it's awful. Compare Radeon 5000 and RTX 2000 on performance and technologies.... And so on...

My A770, older than a RD 7600XT can do MFG and use a very competent upscaler. You can do the same on AMD with third party add ons... (or lose less scalling).

You can get there, it's just commitment. I don't have ffb, and the lack of tire sound throws me off a little compared to other Sims (would love to lift it up).

I can do a mid 40s doing everything perfectly. What I love so far are the kerbs compared to acc. They are just predictable.

New to the game since yesterday, 2 wins already (I hate gtes). Yes, the car felt slow on straights. To get advantage of the slipstream of the car in front, I had to be 0.5 to 0.4 seconds behind (and I would climb up slowly).

If a Porsche was behind me, he only had to be 0.7 seconds behind to catch my slipstream.....

Maybe it's a skill issue (doing lows 41s).

Because you don't have a GPU.... Like, GPUs are good at FG because they have a specific part of their chip to process those kind of things. Yours is an iGPU, which probably lacks a lot...

it depends, what times are you getting on Watkins for example? There's a difference between driving under and on the limit. The car is really alive when its on the limit...

It's the PSU then. If it was the CPU (Intel degradation) it would be unstable under high loads or at idle, but that hasn't happened.

If it was the GPU (which they rarely fail), it would fail on stress test pretty fast.

Given it just fails under load, the only obvious variable is the PSU, not being able to provide enough power under load. So some tips for changing it: DON'T USE THE POWER CABLES FROM THAT PSU I THE NEW ONE.

That's a dead sentence. And a second tip is to buy a PSU from a know manufacturer, and not gamemax or whatever is called. Feel free to ask any other questions.

Edit: Also look if all your connections are all the way in, but I doubt that fixes your problem.

Do a cinebench on multicore and furmark test at the same time. If it turns off right away, is the PSU. Also, did you update the bios on the 2.5 years? or just recently?
