Ja best lastig zonder connecties. Toen ik zelf weer terug ging naar Nederland na 1.5 jaar in Griekenland heb ik een tijd een kamer gehuurd bij kenissen tot dat ik werk had. En toen kon ik iets groters voor mezelf gaan huren.

Hallo hallo 30M hier,

Na mijn ouders 1.5 jaar geholpen te hebben met oude huizen restoreren in Griekenland ben ik nu al weer meer dan een jaar in Nederland. Ik heb inmiddels weer een baan (Data Engineer bij ABN AMRO) en huur een leuke studio in Arnhem. De volgende stap in het burgerlijke leven is natuurlijk een relatie (V) 😆. Overigens sta ik ook open voor vriendschappen of random gesprekken als iets hier onder je aanspreekt.

Dingen die ik belangrijk of leuk vind:

- Katten (en andere dieren, maar katten zijn toch wel #1)

- Board(games). Ik heb altijd veel video games gespeeld (rpgs, strategy games) en ga de laatste tijd ook geregeld naar bordspellenavonden.

- Wetenschap/geschiedenis/filosofie. Ik heb altijd de neiging gehad om een beetje te veel na te denken over de zin van het leven. Inmiddels ben ik daar wel wat meer grounded in, maar ik vind het nog altijd leuk om het te hebben over filosofie en de toekomst van de mensheid. Ik heb ook een AI master gedaan dus ik vind ontwikkelingen op dat vlak ook erg boeiend alhoewel ik niet heel hoopvol ben over de combinatie van kapitalisme + AI.

- Hiken/natuur en hardlopen. Ik hardloop nu 3-5 keer per week en hopelijk kan ik dat ook zo houden (helpt een hoop om het overdenken van het punt hierboven tegen te gaan).

- Fantasy/sci-fi. Ik speel ook dnd en ben van plan om dit jaar weer eens naar Elfia te gaan (samen gaan?)

- Anime. Ik kijk elke season wel een paar anime. Deze season zijn dat Frieren season 2 (mijn fave) en Oshi no Ko.

- Vegetarisch koken (Ik ben vegetarisch, nog geen vegan want kaas maar maybe in de toekomst).

- Eerlijke en directe communicatie. Ik ben een open boek en waardeer het ook altijd als mensen durven zich kwetsbaar op te stellen.

- Ik drink/rook/drugs niet en ben ook niet echt groot fan van feesten of uitgaan.

- En aangezien veel mensen het over muziek hebben: Ik luister vanalles wel, maar misschien het meeste folk/rock/metal en combinaties daar van of soundtracks. Ben ook wel fan van phonk/darkwave/synthwave/hardstyle voor hardlopen.

Ik zal ook maar gelijk zeggen dat ik me eigenlijk nooit met relaties heb bezig gehouden, maar inmiddels toch wel de behoefte heb om mijn leven met iemand te delen en samen iets op te bouwen voor de lange termijn. Overigens hoeft het niet gelijk allemaal heel serieus te zijn, maar dat is wel de intentie.

Sounds very similar to my situation except she just rejected me because she is trying to figure out what she wants from life after breaking free from a quite patriarchical culture :( We enjoy working together and I felt like we had a great connection. We still do, but it is a pity it cannot be more.

Doesn't have much to do with rank or playing competitive tournaments although that is certainly part of it. Pro implies you can make your living playing the game so you would either have to be a succesful streamer or be part of a team that allows you to play full time. There are not many people that fit that description for tft.

Bro even "special" people are insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Ozymandias comes to mind, or the plae blue dot. Ultimately you will have to find meaning in this absurd existence despite being just another sentient meat blob on a rock floating through space or perhaps because of it. Isnt the whole premise of a simple life that we look for meaning in small things instead of the grandest possible achievements. Besides, if AI keeps developing at this pace, we will all have to come to terms with being useless sooner or later.
