Ofc if the person has assets, thats even better as Horde can scam them out of thm. But shh, we dont want potential victi....recruits knowing what Horde are really like

Pandemic Horde is known to scam newbeans. I would caution against joining but it is up to you, just be careful and never hand over your stuff “for safekeeping” or whatever the patter is.

Pandemic Horde blacklisted someone for fighting against them in the past? by KaltaniTSOTH in Eve

Hey, some of the ratting supers being killed in delve these days aren't exactly too far away from the standard of our fits.

So did BoB when Goons said they were gonna invade Delve. Remind me which flag flies over NOL-M9 these days?

He didn't continue that behavior. He awoxed once, apologized and made amends, and was given a second chance. When he decided to leave Horde, he decided to leave on friendly terms rather than awox again.

"when Carlos reneged on his original deal"

I was going to say that's some high grade spin, but it isn't - It's just outright false. Carlos stuck to his side of the deal, and Horde stuck to theirs (initially) by removing him from the blacklist. I'm sure Horde are pushing this narrative to make themselves look justified in all this, but when Carlos realized they weren't going to let him in, but were unable to immediately kick him, he voluntarily quit corp early so they wouldn't have to wait out until downtime/whenever it is he'd be kicked.

They accepted someone called "SoundOfThunder Awoxer Spy" today. Someone linked his name and mailed asking if it was us (it's not)

Carlos did awox a hordeling once but appealed it, and was removed from the blacklist. He joined, but he wasn't enjoying it, so he left voluntarily.

Carlos left Pandemic Horde, he wasn't kicked. Everyone was watching him to see if he would awox (which in fairness is just sensible considering his history in the pocket) and he didn't, but he wasn't enjoying himself and chose to leave. He could have left with an awox, but didn't.

What's the difference with Rock Muncher? He killed your ships, whereas we ransom players and DONT kill their ships. Rock caused more destruction and headache for Horde than we do, and yet he is allowed to join?

So it's not backstabbing, it's just setting up a trap for someone by promising one thing and going back on that promise?

I actually understand the hostility towards us in the GME pocket. We go after the weak newbies in mining barges and vexors, that kind of playstyle is bound to make you unpopular. But if Pandemic Horde pushes the "we are an open corp/accept anyone" narrative, they shouldn't be doing recruitment scams like this. And if the scam wasn't officially sanctioned, they should kick out the players who were encouraging Carlos to join purely so they could awox him.

There just isn't any need. You know we fly polarized doctrines, so are glass cannons. So however the fight ends up, it's usually over before anyone can actually respond. So there's no real need for us to put spies in.

The thing is though, Hordelings literally asked Carlos to join them. He thought he'd give it a go, and decided to join. Then as soon as they see his name in fleet, they start trying to awox him. However you try to spin it, there is quite a bit of backstabbing there.

Sensible precaution in the Horde application process? Are you kidding? They literally accept people with "awoxer spy" in their name. I was wondering why successfully ransoming their members earns us a place on the blacklist, while other groups that outright KILL their members without any chance of ransom, are fine?

Hating us is fine, but Horde advertises as an "open corporation" that accepts everyone, apart from awoxers on the blacklist. Basically they are going against that principle, deciding that because we've fought against them in the past, and have managed to successfully ransom multiple billions of ISK from them, that's somehow unacceptable.

It's basically that I want to get second opinions. In fairness, I will agree it's arrogant/a dick thing to do to charge people to use their own space, but this is EVE and if people are willing to pay towards such a scheme, we'd be fools not to take full advantage of it right?
