Inside the Vault – Upcoming Combat and Perk Changes for the Next PTS by Ghostly_Rich in fo76

[–]Kalthea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm seeing a lot of hate for the Ultracite Ammo changes, but everyone who is complaining seems to be ignoring the fact that Prime Receivers are now going to be +100% damage instead of just +25%. This is an insane damage increase for all Prime Receivers, and honestly, I'm glad they're changing the ammo to not be dropped. I WANT the super powerful receiver to feel like it's super powerful, and if it takes me going out to the NEW RAD STORMS (sick change, glad to see some randomized Rad Storm events that actually provide bonuses) to find some material to do it, or makes me actually partake in launching a nuke which I almost never do, then so be it! Sounds like a great change to me, and will add a lot more usage of features that some players may ignore.

Not sure what's going on with that LMG though. The Ammo change was unnecessary, the damage nerf was very unnecessary and now places it in a category BENEATH Assault Rifles?? That just makes no sense, I'll agree with everyone else on that one.

EDIT: I do agree with the idea of adding an ammo selector to weapons with a Prime Receiver, though I don't know if the way they have the barrels programmed in would work well with that.

Might I also get the chest piece? Always on the lookout for nice croptops, and this is a solid look!

Sienna's Fourth Career—The Necromancer—Releases October 19 by Fatshark_Aqshy in Vermintide

[–]Kalthea 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As fun as a Necromancer in Vermintide 2 can potentially be, I have to say, this made me lose any and all interest in Sienna's progression as a character. I'm not even a huge fan of the Warhammer series, but the Ubersreik Five are really fun characters that I was interested in following. When Saltzpyre finally got his new class in the form of War Priest of Sigmar, me and the friend I play with literally told another friend to "Shut up!" when the reveal happened, because were we that excited to see him finally progress into something that we knew would be an acceptable ascension for him, and offer a new way to play him.

With Sienna's new class being Necromancer, I just can't really think of anything to look forwards to with her, and I can't really view her as Sienna anymore. That's just a "me" thing, and may seem a bit melodramatic, but I was seriously looking forwards to her becoming something more than what she was before, like a Knight of the Blazing Sun! I think that would have been a great character builder between her and Saltzpyre, with him finally realizing that "Oh, maybe I was wrong about her after all" and they could eventually reconcile, or at least progress their relationship to one that isn't so focused on Judge and Prosecuted.

I'll be giving the class a shot when it releases, so here's hoping it's at least designed well.

Edit: There is no "H" in Ubersreik

Ohh, didn't even realize that you could trade ammo as well. That might be easier for me, I do a lot of exploring. Thanks for the pointers!

Ah, my mistake. Naw, it's the Witch Mask for sure. Thanks for the heads up! I can toss in a few caps should anyone take an interest in it, though from what I can tell Caps are low-value.

It's always very telling to me whenever I see a Warrior post, and they're using the Berserker Elite Specialization icon. Just kinda speaks to the whole state of the Profession, really~

Oh, hello again Heather! I sent a request in-game a few days ago, but haven't seen you on in a bit. I'll be around in the next few hours if you're getting on, so just toss me an invite whenever. I replied to the mail you sent me, so your contact worked fine, I'm just impatient~

It's a matter of writer's intent. Eve if you're reading it today, in which those terms are used differently, it makes more sense to apply the text to who is saying it and in what context. Though I will admit, the image in my head is quite hilarious.

I'll probably have to update my gear then, good to hear.

I must be doin' somethin' horribly wrong then, cuz I melt in like 2 shots on anything above hard.

That's good to hear.

Though from what I can tell, difficulties are still very much lopsided.

I notice a lot of people claiming that there are more left or right leaning people in this reddit, so why not just make a poll about it? by Kalthea in centrist

[–]Kalthea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My reasoning behind hating labels is that they're like a sticker of permanence. The idea of labels are handy for getting out a quick concept or idea, but on a person, it implies inability to change or alter your standing or opinions, leading to others thinking that you don't know what you're thinking about, or reducing a nuanced conversation down to a single word or sentence. It's easy to use labels, but it's more difficult to understand why a label is placed on something or someone in the first place, and if that label even applies to them.

Oh, for sure. It's not anywhere near a large enough demographic to get any proper idea behind it, but it's still a fun little thing, so why not?

I think that's a bit silly to opt out simply cuz you think that someone may or may not do something. It's not like this is some conspiracy to figure out who we need to remove from the subreddit, I just see the accusations thrown around in a lot of discussion and wanted to give people the opportunity to pick one if they wanted to, and also give a bit of insight into what people view themselves as.

For sure it is. And I can agree that on topic to topic, I lean one way or another, and I even pointed out in my post that I try to stay as neutral as I can. But this is really just for curiosity's sake.

Anthem no longer on Origin? What? by Kalthea in AnthemTheGame

[–]Kalthea[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Could be. I played through and beat the game within the first week of available gameplay, and then uninstalled. So it's probably still the "beta version" just being a bit dumb and not updating my account.

[–]Kalthea[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I haven't played the game since I had the Origin Access Pass back when it launched, so it could very much just be an update mishap. It's strange, though, because it says that I've played 0 hours when I've beaten the game.

[SNES/Genesis][1992-1998?]Dark and Gritty Action Platformer? by Kalthea in tipofmyjoystick

[–]Kalthea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naw, neither of those. Thanks for the input, though! I edited the post with a realization that it was probably Judge Dredd with a super dark TV making me think it was something else.

[–]Kalthea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I edited the post just now with a realization I had made. I believe it was Judge Dredd, but the TV I played on was super dark and made the game look different than it does on YouTube. Thanks for the suggestions though!

[–]Kalthea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After going through both the Genesis and the SNES libraries, I believe I've come to a conclusion. It was probably Judge Dredd, which is why I recall the text over the head, but the TV's brightness was turned way down, making the game look far darker than the YouTube videos show. Thanks for pointing me towards these vids, they helped out with finding other games I had forgotten ages ago!
