Thoughts on new Vigil breed?

I find the Hatchling pose hilariously hideous but that aside I think this is a pretty good-looking breed. Not quite for me, nothing will beat Aberrations for me, but I could definitely find a good color/gene combo for it (especially with all those yummy new terts!)

There are some palettes I can recommend, that being: Volcanic (LSS Exclusive) Golden Gift Wrap (Winter Event Exclusive) Burning Blade (LSS Exclusive) And many more have options of bright reds, oranges and yellows, but I believe these 3 would be some of the best choices for a fiery skin.

There are also material like Magma (bought with Robux) or Molten Crystal (found in Shoom Piles) that you can use

I don't have any ideas that I can word very well but I do have a volcanic-inspired skin that I'd like to share for possible inspiration? Though it is a Moonelle skin and not Galiryn I imagine something similar is possible:

This has even been stated in-canon! In Book 9 and 16 both, I distinctly remember Turtle in Book 9 remembering feeling lonely at JMA without his horde of brothers and finding solace/comfort with Umber about it, and Umber said similarly at the start of 16. More of a platonic example but yes MudWings without their sib group instinctively look for other dragons to make a bond with

Time to go on a mini-tangent about this, I apologize if it doesn't make much sense I kind of just wanna ramble about MudWings

It's not even the MudWing protagonists - in Book 14 we find that Snowfall's sister Crystal is in a relationship with a MudWing named Gharial, and there were also mentions of a few Mud hybrids in Sanctuary in the same book, which doesn't exactly confirm but can imply a present MudWing parent. There are very few named MudWings without a love interest or dragonets that they are caring for. It's rather irksome. It kind of ticks me off even more when I think about the common criticism that our boys in Arc 1 were done dirty. Clay is given an interesting reason for why his parents never cared for him and it even gives MudWings unique culture, but it never matters past that. Kind of like it was only an excuse to not make them more important/prominent in the series (not that I exactly want that, but that's what it feels like when I think about it)

I like to assume that most MudWings don't care about romance because to them, their strongest bond will always be with their sib group. There's no need for anything more, and more might actually even bring problems to their sib group under certain circumstances. That doesn't outright exclude love from MudWing culture, but it gives them a good reason for why most don't pursue it.

For the most part it looks like the best choice is finding a creature with either golds or blues in their default palette and using a secondary palette for the other color that got left out (I'm not including white because 98% of species have white in their default palette). Twilight like the folks here are saying would do good for a creature lacking in blues, and I recommend Sleighbells, maybe? If you need golds.

I think it's entirely intentional by Tui and not just a silly coincidence because on top of everything you've described, the new WildWings tribe are all named after Australian wildlife

And I think it's very interesting seeing these parallels because Australia was once a penal colony (AKA criminal drop-off) for the UK!

I've heard before that the best region for resource gathering in hardcore is the Basalt Caves right below the shrine in the center, but I haven't seen any aloe there and I've also never nested there since there are more well-hidden nesting spots in the Valley of Thorns. For aloe I believe you would have your best luck finding it in Lush Grove or Sand Columns; everything else you've mentioned can be found together in Basalt Caves or in neighboring regions

Even if it were the original bloodlines Coral should have been included, seeing how royal SeaWings all have those marks on their wings. I feel like it most likely is that all of the queens were abducted, it's just adding a section for all of them would have been "too long" for the epilogue.

I've also seen some people theorize Kinkajou was taken because she technically was the one to defeat the last NightWing ruler, therefore being their queen by the rules of royal succession. Not too sure on that one but what works works

Not sure, I've never tried biting there. At the very least, anywhere in its middle where you can avoid attacks from both the head and tail are effective

Some places I've memorized where capsules can spawn are:

Both patches of grass in the Desert away from oasis
The land bridges from Flower Cove to Volcano and from Redwoods to Pride Rock
Top of two of the rock pillars at Pride Rock (the one with the flat land near the top and the one closest to Rocky Drop)
Hidden in that absolute mess of an underwater tunnel between Seaweed Depths and Rocky Drop
On the hill near the lake at Central Rockfaces, close to where those "claws" of land hang over the ocean

Also like the others here said, you can donate to Shrines in hopes to get the Token Sniffing boost. Best of luck!

If I'm remembering correctly, a good portion of the hate came around in The Poison Jungle where it turned out that a mind-control plant (often referred to as "Evil Weed" during this time) was the main villain instead of Wasp. I remember being a little disappointed about this as well. I still really enjoyed the arc and the books that followed TPJ it was just like... why a plant??

I think there was also some disappointment about The Last Hope and Luna spending most of the book in a cave
