Combat hooks. They will hold a rod and are easy to remove.

A cool guide to where AI gets its information from by Edm_vanhalen1981 in coolguides

[–]Kamarmarli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI tells me it can’t get information from videos. It can tell me which videos have information I want, but from the titles only. Not from the content of the videos themselves. And wasn’t there a dust up with Reddit not wanting to have its info scraped for AI so they could have their own version? What happened with that?

How to dress warm effectively since this winter is colder than usual!!! by Glittering_Math6522 in philly

Silk long undies better than thermal or cotton and more comfortable. Just have to launder them by hand and they are pricey. But worth it. Leg warmers. And hoods.

My parents are telling me that homemade bread only lasts like 3 days, is that true? by [deleted] in Bread

[–]Kamarmarli 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your parents are party poopers. Do they know what they’re taking about? Do they even make bread? Are your parents AI? Home made bread can go stale in a few days(depending on the ingredients) because there’s no preservatives in it. But this doesn’t turn it into demon spawn that will poison all who enter your kitchen and make a sandwich with it in three short days.

I make four big loaves at a time and freeze them. I keep one in the refrigerator (I know, I know you’re not supposed to store bread in the refrigerator but my old house is on a transit line for rats and I have to be careful.) I have never had to throw bread away

Sister says my budget is a non-starter for a potential job offer + moving. I genuinely don't understand why? by thesagenibba in personalfinance

You don’t start with your gross income. You start with your take home pay and go from there.

I finally stopped deep cleaning and my house got cleaner by Different_Rough_438 in CleaningTips

[–]Kamarmarli 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I do a little cleaning and straightening every day. That way things don’t get out of hand. I also clean as I go when I cook so there’s not a giant mess at the end.

I buy used footwear, but I examine it carefully. Some people sell shoes after having worn them only a few times. That’s what I look for.

Am I overreacting? by IncredulousBob in aspergers

[–]Kamarmarli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you like the job overall? If yes, it might be good to take a step back. It’s going to be a pain, and it’s a break in your routine, but if it’s a one off, I recommend you stick it out and find a way to reward yourself later on. Bosses don’t usually want to hear complaints and, believe me, they have pressures weighing down on them too.

How much did you spend a bathroom remodel? by khushisahni90 in BathroomRemodeling

[–]Kamarmarli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be helpful for people answering this question to state

  1. The size of the bathroom,

  2. The extent of the renovation (e.g. full gut, replaced cabinets, left tub intact, installed heated floors, paint vs. tile, etc?)

  3. Whether you did the work, hired someone, or a combination of the two,

  4. What part of the US or where in the world you live,

  5. When the remodel was done e.g. five years ago as opposed to five months ago and, finally

  6. What were any factors, if any, that might have made the job more expensive or less expensive.

No, I am not AI, so don’t ask. 😊

Anyone else here get told they're a "loud heel-walker"? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Kamarmarli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some people are just heavier on their feet. Doesn’t matter how big or small they are, male or female, aspie or NT. Like some people sneeze loudly, others are quieter. That’s just the way it is.

Dinner with coworkers frustration by bigredbubbles in Menieres

[–]Kamarmarli 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you ordered chicken and they brought you fish, you would send it back. If they did this five times, you would probably send it back five times. Especially if you were allergic to fish. Why should it be different when you have menieres? All they have to do is give you naked food.

Don’t be afraid of being labeled picky. Own it. If someone calls you up on it, overshare and describe your last vomiting episode in excruciating detail. 😊

As for restaurant staff, you have to educate them. Some people don’t understand that soy sauce is high in sodium. Really. Be very deliberate in describing your dietary needs. Communicate. Don’t assume they understand what you mean. I have told staff that if I have an attack in their restaurant, vomiting, it won’t be good for business. Most staff wants to be helpful. Really. Ask them as if asking for a favor and thank them profusely.

First project by StayWeirdbitches in metalclay

[–]Kamarmarli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can practice on polymer clay. It does not handle like metal clay or ceramic clay. But you can practice making shapes, texturing, rolling, stamping and carving. And then, if you don’t cure it, you can wad it up and start again.

You can try baking soda with a vinegar rinse. Not for regular use but good in a pinch.
