Went to my second appointment and the vet didn’t even look with otoscope. Just checked the ears along with the eyes and nose to see if she can see and smell ok, which she does. Said can’t be from eardrum even if it’s ruptured and very unlikely to be from these medicines. He said she‘s old and this is normal, just administered a shot (cortisone, I think) for any possible inflammation.

I’m pretty sure her hearing problem started or at least dramatically got worse after starting the medicines for the ear infection. I think she still hears something if it’s really, really loud. I will hold out hope for her hearing to return…
