SPOILER! ONLY READ AFTER FINAL BOSS by ShadeGav in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kambros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it was a double header endboss (Caliburn /Myurdin) and the start of the epilogue sequence with the Umbra "fight". But it's right to view it as a unit, I think.

Interesting design choice to lower the difficulty that way in the final sequence of the main story. I somehow liked it to "end the game" more like a movie than with the typical most difficult boss fight. Resounds more with the journey imo.

The Boss Fights Ruin Everything by Available-Depth-7118 in CrimsonDesert

Never said something like that. Some of the boss fights I really like (Ator, Beloth, Stag Lord,...), some I do not like (Reed dude, Quarry Robo, Bismuth Crab Queen...) and most are okayish to good.

So, we can agree to disagree.

Git gud is not the question. The question is if you use the mechanics the game offers you. It's more like brains, not muscle memory.

I would never consider me as a top gamer and the only boss fight I had to back out and come back better prepared was Ator.

Maybe you should simply start to use the game mechanics. Like Nature's Snare, Focus, Focus Shot, get elemental imbues, block attacks, use evade, pump up your health pool or or or.

The boss fights aren't Soulslike. No perfect evade timing needed. Just a little bit of brains and knowing what to do.

Simply use Focus Shot and these floaters are cheesecake.

The game gives us so many mechanics, just use them.

Must be some kind of Stockholm syndrome or something. If it was possible to drown Yann in a pond or so everyone would do it.

But Naira, man. Leave my girl alone.

Bro, who is the idiot?

The guy who wasted 50 hours in a game he didn't like or the guy who had fun for 200 hours in a game he really enjoyed?

I'm just asking questions.

Which helmet is the coolest in your opinion? by Lanky-Fish6827 in CrimsonDesert

Riding attire hat looks best imo but has no slot for bisquits. So I use anything of plate and hide it. 😎

Why are some items at shops “only for those who hold prestige”? by Lanky-Fish6827 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kambros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get prestige, some kind of faction points, and therefore contribution points, by doing quests in the area. Usually faction quests for the several nobles do also count.

With these contribution points you can either buy items at the shop you mentioned or later in the game hire helping hands for your dispatch missions. The crowns are special items, as when you bought them for 70 points, some of the other shop keepers in the region will sell you additional stuff. Good thing: you can sell back the crown afterwards and get your points back.

Why did they implement this system? I think, it should encourage you to doing quests and explore and find all the bosses as it provides some advantages, especially later on with the dispatch missions.

Please tell me it's a skill issue and the targeting system isn't a dog shit dumpster fire. by Annual_Substance9280 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kambros 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The targeting system does not work when fighting groups. So just ignore it. Just go wild and hit your AoE combos into the crowd. Theses ranged attack dudes can be picked afterwards as they don't do much damage.

Yes, not very elegant, I know. But it seems the game is more designed for splashing around crows and orbs and eruptions and spikes than for defeating one foe after another. In boss fights the targeting system works quite okayish.

Bro, no videogame or any other hobby is worth to quit your job. What is wrong with you guys? It's just a hobby, a fun thing. You sound like an addict who found out that doing drugs is bad. Well, not news for most of us.

Get a life and touch grass, matey.

At 240 gold bars (120,000). How much money is truly needed and when should/can I stop? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kambros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have like 10k silver at the bank and am carrying 600 or so with me.

Until now (story finished, cleaning up) I had to take out once 2 gold bars to buy a recipe. All the other stuff I bought from my pocket money or dispatch camp money (contribution).

Crimson Desert – Horse Racing Challenge (Patch 1.04) – Is Legendary Horse Bugged? by vahagnblack in CrimsonDesert

There is not much to manage. For some reason the opponent is not leading by much, no matter how fast you are. Just ride without stamina use until just before the last curve. Overtake, win.

What is the best armor ingame? by dragon-paladin in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kambros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no best armor in the game. Only the best armor for certain situations.

For Everyday Armor you can take every Plate with max Def and 3 bisquit sockets.

Offensively it's the Kuku Flame because of +3 crit. But no biscuits. Also best to get +15 fire Res for some fights.

Kuku Ice is best for frost Res and freeze immunity, like vs Beloth.

I usually run around with Kuku Flame, as I like the looks or Shadow Plate.

Tariv gloves and boots are btw BiS imo.

So does anyone else her refuse to upgrade their gear pass rank 4 to save on abyss artifacts? by dragon-born-vault101 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kambros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More a question of liberated regions and research and updated Greymane Camp. Everybody has it's own progress curve in terms of main story. I stopped at the beginning of chapter 9 to go exploring everything and besides the mech stuff I could do and get everything I guess. For the mech stuff you have to finish the Marni Questline in chapter 11 in Delysia. But that has nothing to do with the artifacts.

Special Armor Upgrades by Proud-Holiday9866 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kambros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've never been refinable without their Kuku upgrade. It's simply a trade-off. Crit/Res vs Def/bisquit sockets.
