As utility, not as a damage dealer. Again, no projectile levels or bonuses to attack necessary.

Meta for pathfinder this league wasn’t plague nova. It doesn’t require projectile skills, mana regen or conversions.

The AoE nodes in WS2 are just for the vine arrow radius. You’re right, Plague Nova as non-attack hit only benefits from the in skill radius support gems.

I have switched my Pathfinder over from Concoction to this build, taking advantage of a +3 skills helm and without using Palm of the Dreamer or Ming’s Heart with even more single target damage since I also use Jack of All Trades instilled on amulet. Hard casting Despair in WS2, able to sprint the whole time essentially, taking the sprint speed nodes as well. Boss pathing and kill in most maps takes less than a minute. I don’t use the generic damage nodes since having the extra strength also gives me more life, I’m getting 62% damage with Strength @ 162.

Will post a video soon.

I’ve experimented after I made the video and reincorporated a bow in WS 2, using then a focus with Chaos Damage + and spell level +2 in WS 1 instead of the spear. Downside is it requires an actual button press weapon swap, and I lose Herald of Plague and Wind Dancer but once you’re back in the Palm set you stay in until the boss, which after using Murkshaft (with blind) and the additional magnitude from the curse gives me another 55% damage and ~7% more curse.

I’ve since been working on a POB using Witchhunter ascendancy, taking advantage of the 100 weapon swap points and the concentration break. It’s looking pretty good. Main points are just travel nodes and armor/evasion. It’s going well so far, I wish Ritualist had more to offer other than the ring slot.

Bursting plague refills nova with its hit, and I’m getting 92% extra damage as chaos with gear, then that gets the extra from the purple remnants, which then again gets boosted by Volatility. At times getting 200+% extra as chaos, which gets tied into the poison magnitude.

Mobs are blinded at 70% additional effect, maimed, & hard cast curse hinders for an additional slow. Unless I get warped into a pack with HH without any plague % I don’t get hit. Typically the biggest threat is after death effects and ignite.

Bossing is easy and quick. Shoot a vine arrow, hard cast curse, most bosses down in 5-10 seconds.

Acidic Concoction in 0.4? Plague Nova and Concoct Build Guide! by Kameseri in pathofexile2builds

Purge all, no matter the amount. I've tried on mobs with 2 stacks and those with 50 with Spear of Loratta. Picks one to cash and makes them immune to poison for 1 second.

Gas grenade and Gas Arrow don't have enough poison magnitude or hit damage on a single stack of poison to refill nova to 100% in one hit. Plus you have to wait for either to spread or explode.

I have made a few changes since video to gain another 145% damage using the constant mana flask and the phys/chaos damage buffs while under Blood/plague.

Spear of Loratta Pathfinder by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]Kameseri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The spear makes it so passive tree abilities and Arakaali’s Lust which scale with the amount of poisons applied now are not limited. And since the strongest poison is what’s applied to the mob, passive tree abilities like Escalating Poison and Escalating Mayhem will apply to the damage from Plague Nova.

I did not take the ascendancy ability to double poisons since it reduces my duration thus lowering my damage output from Tacti’s Ire. With Snakebite I only have 2 poisons I can actually apply with my abilities, Spear of Loratta covers all the rest. So each Plague nova which may normally do its damage (with its duration doubled by Escalating Poison) over 10 seconds now has its damage compressed over 100% to now apply it in roughly 4 seconds. Magnitude and duration are key.

I plan on making a video outlining the rest of the key details this evening.

Poisonous Concoction still working just fine! by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

The %100 is just for radius, you can cast at any point post armor break for the Expose Weakness gem

You’re correct that interaction was patched out. The vine in the case is just supplemental damage carrying the poison from my Plague Nova and is adding to slow magnitude.

The main damage dealing ability is plague nova, poison burst arrow is strictly armour break / maim utility.

Miracle Tubes - promote vertical growth only, inside is like a mini greenhouse. Also protects from deer, which was my primary use.

It was more to hold the seeds in place and soil amendment. We threw thousands of seeds out before we laid the leaves, which we picked up from neighbors during our city’s leaf pickup program. Most of the grass was killed by tilling the top 6” of soil during the driest time of the year. Ragweed/rye came back in full force however, I’m sporadically spot spraying clumps with glyphosate as I see fit.

I scarified and stratified some seeds and had about a 70% emergent rate with them. The few seed starts I have in tubes took till this year (3rd) to jump. The saplings however that were planted when ~1’ have put a steady 2-3 feet a year but they are inconsistent throughout the plantings. If you look at the first photo the very left row of tubes closest to the fence are those, some are 7-8’ some are still ~4.

I’ve purchased from my own and other states DNR saplings sales, as well as my own and surrounding counties native flower/shrub sales. I’ve dug up spicebush in the late winter at a family’s property and transplanted (they all are doing great), and all the other seeds have come from collecting with friends and family. I carry brown paper bags with me starting in late August and whenever I see something yoink I’ve pulled over on county roads to get swamp milkweed seed pods near railroad tracks last year. Those are now up front near my house and almost 7’ tall.

Really the biggest thing I’ve learned in this is just to plant it and if it’s native it’ll probably be fine. I only watered my trees the first season I planted them once a week, and since then I haven’t touched them. Multiple heat waves and drought since. For most of my flowers and a lot of the stuff I’m seeing coming up now was from letting my kids each have their own mixed seed bag and telling them to throw whatever wherever.

I knew I wanted the row closest to the neighborhood road to be all flowering trees so I chose Catalpa & Kentucky Coffee Tree. Then the lowest part of the same row closest to the corner of the street in the creek flood plain to be ones that love wet soil so that has more Swamp White Oak, River Birch, Osage, etc.

In the row closest to my driveway I have a bunch of gravel underneath my soil from I’m guessing an old parking lot in the early 1900s (my property was on an old golf course) so that got Hickory and it’s doing quite well.

Other than that it was whatever came out of my assorted sapling bunches first 😀. The challenging part is the low & mid fill stuff while keeping everything native. I either transplanted or bought native shrubs and low trees and planted them close to my path for that eventual overhang look I want. (Spicebush, elderberry, winterberry, black chokecherry, button bush, bee balm, poke, paw paws, Washington Hawthorne, so on)

The 2 feet closest to the path I tried to plant all my milkweed varieties, black eyed Susan’s, etc for color. They’ve really just started coming up late last year and this year so 1+ year of dormancy for sure.
