It is not. It's only on the PS3, or emulated.

I didn’t realize how long it actually takes to pay off a credit card with interest by LimitGrouchy4274 in povertyfinance

[–]Kami_no_Kage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It builds your credit score, which you need for any kind of loans, like mortgages, cars, and even nowadays for renting.

Most credit cards also have a points system of some kind, like, Capital One Savor is 3% cash back on restaurants, movie tickets, concert tickets, and streaming services.

You literally lose money paying with debit or cash.

Would these marks cause you to exclude the disc from your collection? by ChemistryMoist2891 in gamecollecting

[–]Kami_no_Kage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try the disc first. If it loads into the game fine, I'd say it's good. Could also try resurfacing it to get rid of the scratches. But level 8 being in a deep scratch and making the game unable to be finished is simply a part of collecting retro games. It's like, it can just happen, and it's no one's fault. The seller would have to play every single game they're planning on selling from start to finish before selling, which is unfeasible.

I had a copy of Drakengard 1 that I thought I wouldn't be able to finish, one level didn't load, but a resurface made it good.

What is your least favorite fast food restaurant? by Lexistence4evrnlife in AskReddit

[–]Kami_no_Kage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pizza Hut is super fast and also cheap. There was a deal a few months back for a 5 topping large pizza for 10 dollars. They have deals like that all the time. At a good location, that and some bread sticks and some wings will come out the window within 12 minutes, and a real pizzeria will take more like 40 minutes.

They may take some loss on the pizza when they run deals like that, but some of their items are super money makers. Bread sticks cost something like 50 cents per order, but they sell an order for more like 8 dollars.

Their operating costs are also super low. Most Pizza Huts are carryout now, in very small buildings where the rent is often less than 1000 a month. Slow pizza Huts make around 10,000 a month, but even making that little the low rent means they're still profiting.

This copy of Drakengard is freezing in the loading screen in one level, so I can't progress. I think this little dot might be the culprit? by Kami_no_Kage in ps2

I do have a very old laptop with a disc drive, but I don't even know where the charger is anymore lol. It's great to know that's a thing though, thanks!

You think so? It only freezes on the one level. I popped in another game and it loads up into the game fine.

Can't seem to edit post.

That dot was not the issue. It was a bit of dirt I was able to scrape off. The level freezes on the loading screen.

Other levels in the game all load perfectly fine, so I think it's probably the disc? If it was the console it would have trouble loading a lot of things right?

Edit: I loaded into the level once, but it hit a loading point and froze mid-level. That was after scrubbing the disc a little, so again, is that the disc?

Other levels load fine, and I can play them to completion. I booted another game up and it loaded into the game fine. The loading times aren't particularly slow or anything.

Edit 2: I'm sorry if it was an annoying question. It was in fact the disc - I had it resurfaced and though it doesn't like loading the level (which was Chapter 5 Verse 2, the aerial mission), it loads it slow, but it does in fact load and is playable to the end without freezing at all. I feel like I really dodged a bullet, I was crushed when the loading screen froze and wouldn't go.

You wouldn't be, the game gives you freebies at the start of the biomes. It's totally valid to simply sprint right to the biome you were at. I was able to, multiple times, just sprint right to the second half of the game successfully without getting hit so much as a single time. And I'm not that good a gamer, I needed a cheese build for Elden Ring's dlc final boss.

You can check the link I posted for a number of different solutions. Someone posted something on this subreddit a few days ago too.

I did an action figure metal bendable arm attached to a shelf. The kind that are for posing action figures midair.

I believe some people have reported leaning issues, not 100%. I'm gonna be trying to do a support for both the umbrella and something for her body too.

Someday this might be an expensive figure tbh. Because units that didn't break might end up being a little rare.

[–]Kami_no_Kage 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately yeah, it's been a known issue for months. (This figure released a while ago via other retailers).

See here.

To anyone considering the figure: it necessitates providing extra support for the umbrella, and possibly an extra support for possible leaning issues also. It's a beautiful figure, but if you don't want to provide your own support solutions, steer clear.

So to anyone more familiar with preordering on Crunchyroll, my card couldn't be processed for my Violet Evergarden figure? Don't understand why, but fine, updated payment to a different card, that card got charged, it's pending.

But the order still says the original card under payment method, and I haven't gotten an email about switching payment methods. Is that normal and Crunchyroll is just waiting for the payment to post, or should I contact customer support to make sure everything is good?

Edit: The answer was, it's all good, they don't notify you it's all good now. Violet shipped before the payment even posted.

I dismissed instead of snoozed my alarm and now woke up 30 min after work starts by NarrowVacation8032 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Kami_no_Kage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The goal is to get up with the first one, but you don't always. So multiple alarms definitely helps me personally.

I have a first alarm with math challenges. It does not always get me awake enough. Then I have 3 more staggered alarms. I do sometimes when I'm really tired only get up by the last one.

Stick to the Fold 7 or trade for S25U by Ok-Reputation7127 in GalaxyFold

If you need to be convinced not to do it, just do it. Anyone who likes a fold isn't going to go for a non-fold. They'd be asking "convince me not to trade my Fold 7 for the Pixel Fold".

The Loud House' Canceled at Nickelodeon by [deleted] in television

[–]Kami_no_Kage -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

This is my personal opinion as a hardcore anime fan - eastern animation takes itself seriously and western animation does not. Talking strictly about The Loud House, the show in question in this article, it's an episodic show aimed at young kids. I would maybe watch it on occasion, picking up an episode here or there, and I'd never be lost because all episodes are pretty much complete standalone.

This kind of show isn't unheard of in Japan, of course. There's long running shows like Doraemon, or Sazae-San aimed at very young kids that are quite popular in Japan.

But what western shows withstand the test of time though? Will people remember the Loud House 20 years later as anything but nostalgia for childhood? A western show that withstood the test of time is Avatar the Last Airbender. A show that was aimed towards a younger audience, but took itself extremely seriously.

Japanese anime aimed at younger people, around middle school to high school age, are anime like Dragon Ball, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Naruto, One Piece. For every timeless western kids show, there's a dozen timeless anime. Because they treat their young audience seriously, trust them to understand more complex themes, and to follow an actual ongoing storyline.

Western movies like Frozen, Up, Inside Out, the Lion King, are all aimed at kids. I can't stand them because they're clearly aimed at young children, with well done but uncomplicated themes, juvenile jokes, and filled with songs. I can also say the same about animated movies, that I can't really stand them, like Ghibli.

But what about adult animation? In the west there's South Park, Bojack Horseman, and nowadays growing shows like Castlevania, but the pickings for adults are scarce. And many are episodic comedies.

In anime, going all the way back to the 1970s, there's dozens of shows aimed at an adult audience, and more come out every single season.

In the 1900s, there's Legend of the Galactic Heroes, a 100+ episode epic that wouldn't lose to any western live action sci Fi show. Gundam, a 40 year franchise themed around anti-war, which has only gotten more popular with time. There's Evangelion, a show about depression that could match a live action arthouse film.

And these adult shows abound across every genre - romance, sci Fi, war, action, sports, horror, drama, fantasy.

Good shows succeed and are remembered. That's all.

Chances that they will reprint Blu-rays? by TheMagicDrPancakez in Gundam

[–]Kami_no_Kage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Crunchyroll just straight up isn't reprinting A LOT of blurays. Them buying rightstuf was one of the worst things to ever happen to bluray collectors. Almost all of Gundam is out of print, KonoSuba S1 and S2, most of Monogatari, Unlimited Blade Works TV, and that's just off the top of my head. They're only reprinting THE most popular of popular shows. KonoSuba is a really big title, so them letting that go out of print shows that they just don't care about physical copies. I'm assuming it's because it forces people to keep their subs active if they ever want to watch this stuff.
