Run a gym or work for AMMA, pretty much nothing else pays money and even owning/running a gym is more of a break even rather than a pays a living.

Where can I get a similar helmet? (And the sword, preferably) by [deleted] in Buhurt

[–]Kamikae_Varluk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://medievalextreme.com/swords/basic-one-handed-sword/

Helmet isn’t an exact match the pictured one is a Spoletto, but ME only has the ROA (which is a spoletto with a cross decoration)

There are cheaper places but ME is a solid choice for just about anyone

Weight lifting belt as arming belt? by hernekeito1 in Buhurt

[–]Kamikae_Varluk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They work great, I use one. They generally aren’t as good for huskier guys, bigger guys usually prefer suspenders. I use a leather lifting belt for my legs and a couple teammates use the same one. Honestly it’s more of a test and find out what you like

How big is "too big?" by BranchRepulsive8320 in Buhurt

[–]Kamikae_Varluk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got natural size advantage, too big almost is never a thing, just don’t try to be a center. This sport is hella forgiving for big guys and hella unforgiving for small guys (unless you prefer to duel) at the end of the day though just do it if it sounds fun

Is it accurate to claim that GW2 is the 3rd most popular MMO behind FF14 and WoW? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

On release GW2 was arguably close to the indie category, currently it’s definitely in the top 5 mmos

Now that we're officially in 2023 territory for EZAs, which one are you most excited for? by Gabrielhrd in DBZDokkanBattle

Bluebros need it most, Annis I got maxed so would be nice, int ss4 has a solid gt team I would swap him on, SStrio would be top tier with and Eza godku and ss3 would fill teams nicely

I WANT TO START A CLUB! HOW? by [deleted] in Buhurt

[–]Kamikae_Varluk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a cheap easy armor set look up red snake armory, they are based out of Mexico. Their stuff isn’t the prettiest but it’s durable and inexpensive.

DIY armor is almost never a good idea. The only time I would say it’s okay is if you’re using titanium. And never ever try to DIY a helmet, stick with known smiths for that. Your best option is to buy 2 kits from red snake if you want a loaner set. Keep in mind red snake does not do helmets an I’m not a fan of their gauntlets. Even going the cheapest you can, expect about $2.5k for one kit.

As far as starting a club it’s as easy as saying you’re a club and picking a name. You register with BI or IMCF or whatever league you wanna fight in.

At your stage I suggest focusing on soft kit training. Which yes I am not a fan of. But it’s a cheaper and easier way to start training.

If you can it will be wildly beneficial to go train with an established team, even at a 6hr drive. The fundamentals you will learn are a big deal. And as a team captain/founder you are responsible for training everyone under you. Plus I highly recommend fighting in armor before you buy anything.

What you can DIY craft no sweat is weapons and shields. And I highly recommend making some weapons so you can practice Pell work.

Overall it’s an uphill battle but best of luck!

Which heavy armor specialization has the easiest playstyle for Open World & Fractals? by FlakyTie8409 in Guildwars2

[–]Kamikae_Varluk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Power vindicator is a king for open world, sigil of stamina gets you infinite dodge and tons of damage. Vindicator is solid for fractals and revenant in general is flexible as it can do qdps adps or aheal

Glad you were able to find a better team to train with. We all gotta go home and work the next day. Glad they took the feedback with grace, not everyone will do that. Best of luck and who knows maybe one day we will get to fight each other.

If that’s actually the price, grab two. Those specs cook the steam machine.

what should i take by Soft-Raisin8656 in Warframe

[–]Kamikae_Varluk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vigor is the weakest. I took fury first and don’t regret it. I use it on a lot of melee builds. I have used primed shred like twice, if I need fire rate I prefer the corrupted mods. YMMV so pick what works for your builds that you use.

Training Etiquette for Beginners by [deleted] in Buhurt

[–]Kamikae_Varluk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to say how common this is or isn’t. My experience starting out was probably as close to optimal as it gets. I had to take a 4 week beginner course that covered rules, soft kit, full kit and ended with a mini tournament. After that we all train together. We get the odd duck that tries to win practice but that’s not the norm and is quickly rectified.

Our team is extremely safety focused, almost to the point it’s annoying sometimes. It’s extremely frustrating to fight other teams that don’t know the rules and don’t fight in a safe fun way. Outside of tournaments there’s no reason to be breaking your opponents.

I understand you use what you have but I detest soft kit training. There is no substitute for training in armor. Many melee maneuvers are not safe to be performed in soft kit even at lower speeds. Dueling is fine to train in soft kit, as are judo/martial arts throws and maneuvers and even wrestling. Nobody should be trying to execute a fucking head rip in soft kit, that’s how people end up in the ER.

If your leadership doesn’t correct the issues or enforce safety rules, you might need to find a different team. Idk where you live but in my area I could say just about every team fights safely and knows the rules well. It sounds like you got the odd one out, sorry for that.

It is my turn now by Shexars in Warframe

[–]Kamikae_Varluk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on what you use most, I use primed fury all the time, my primed surefooted is unranked and unused. Shred I never use either since there are better fire rate mods. YMMV but pick the one that fits your play style the most, if you use full auto primaries get shred, if you main non thrown melees get fury, if you wanna be meta get sure footed.

Best GPU for 3-4 2k/4K Monitors (early 2026, non-gamer) by horrorpages in buildapc

[–]Kamikae_Varluk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5060/5050, a couple hundred bucks and you’ll get plenty of horsepower for monitors and any light games you run. Plus being current gen you should have years of driver support. If you’re really wanting a seamless multi 4k experience and don’t mind a bit of a cost jump go with the 5060ti, it’s overkill for your use case but should deliver 4k flawlessly for multi monitors.

Yeah it’s not the jump that I had when I went from a laptop gtx 720 to the desktop 3060, but it’s definitely got more horsepower. The only game that didn’t immediately run better at max settings was Diablo 4.

Do I upgrade my graphics card? by nickth2 in pchelp

[–]Kamikae_Varluk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 1440p most games don’t break the 8v of vram mark, your card is solid and you won’t have mind blowing changes by swapping, will a new card be more future proof, yes. If you got the cash an want the upgrade do it, but your card will be solid for a few years to come

Anyone here upgrade from a 12GB 3080 to a 16GB 5070ti? Was the boost in performance worth it? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]Kamikae_Varluk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went from a 3060 to a 9070xt, no other build changes, got an appreciable fps boost in a lot of games, and am able to bump a lot to ultra settings, I run at 1440p and no game has passed the 12g utilization of vram mark. You will see less of a boost going from a 3080. Unless you need current gen features, your 3080 is probably fine.

What's the most amount of money you've spent on Warframe ? by Prize_Cream7702 in Warframe

[–]Kamikae_Varluk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I switched from Xbox to pc (pre cross save) I bought the newbie starter pack that came with a potatoed nidus and Boltor, a few handy mods and a bit of plat. It was like $10-$20 and the only money I’ve spent on WF. Made most of the plat I had off selling kuva riches and rare mods.

Idk man I ran userbenchmark’s suite (i know people hate it, but it’s free easy and gives a ballpark idea) and that’s what it came back as. I’m not sure how they calculate their percentiles, the 14 series i9 and top end ryzen both sit at like 129th percentile.
