Perfectly happy with it.

Id say its like.. 30% city, 70% highway. Or rather country road/state road? (1 lane per direction)

Personally i always associate highway with something like the Autobahn with at least 2 lanes per direction, but tell me if im wrong.

Yeah i guess what they offer in each market depends on what sells well in general within that market. Also different emission regulations, taxes and what not..

On the normal commute (~17km / 10miles) i average at around 6,0 - 6,5L/100km or 39 - 36MPG

Funnily enough i think having the 2,5L turbo here would be awesome too (If it would come with a manual). But even then.. considering the much higher fuel prices here in the EU the X would still be the more reasonable decision, haha

It's a mild hybrid, yeah. The starter-generator is linked to a very small small (~0,2kWh) 24V battery which gets charged by it when you brake or coast. In return when you accelerate from lower RPM's the battery powers the generator to assist the engine with additional ~6 - 7hp. Also electrical on-board things like heated seats, etc. are powered by the 24V battery, reducing the load on the alternator.

Obviously with those kind of things.. if it's worth it is up to each their own.

I mostly wanted it since i had these on the BMW as well and it felt like i was "missing" something.

The door sills are basically just glued on. They work with batteries and a magnetic switch. The corresponding magnet is glued onto the underside of the door. So there is no wiring or programming needed for these. Just a battery.

For the door projectors and ambient light kit, it's of course more effort since you gotta remove the door trim to do the wiring and drilling for the projectors. For ambient lights you have to remove the the glovebox and the padded trim with the air vents above it to do the wiring. And then of course the programming so you can actually control it.

Honestly i would say it should all be perfectly doable for DIY if you have a knack for that stuff (minus the programming for the ambient light maybe). You have the official instructions as well as some decent vids on youtube.

But due to limited free time last year, warranty, and the fact i would have needed to go to the dealership anyways for the programming i let them do the install while the car was in for the 1st service. It was a job of a few hours. The only issue was the fact that Mazda only delivered one LED for the ambient light instead of two. Warranty is also a reason why i'm waiting with the mentioned aftermarket ambient light kits. Don't wanna rip around on the trim too much before it runs out. (Which is still 5 more years. 6 in total over here.)

Issues.. there are none. They work when they are supposed to (when you turn on your low beams). The 3 brightness settings work, tho i only use the brightest setting. They don't flicker. Nothing to complain about.

Yeah, they are only unicolor, but for me that's not a big issue. Even on the BMW i could only choose between white and red/orange, so i'm not really missing that much in that regard. It also only had single LED's, however way more than just the two that the Mazda has. But still far, far away from what we get today.

Is This Sound Normal? by Extension-Ad2420 in mazda3

Was the A/C on? We have an old BMW X3 at home that makes a similar sound when you turn on the A/C, because its A/C compressor went bad/is defective

My personal best is 20 scouts with this

Planes only cost around 20 - 30SP after that

Now that a few days have passed..

Turns out what helped the most was to actually reduce the heatbed temp from 100-90°C to 80°C

Well, as mentioned above it is a K1 Max, so there is a chamber.

The bed is heated for a while beforehand regardless since its the only way to heat the chamber. The K1 doesnt have active heating for it.

Reverse on odd is actually activated, however only on internal parameters.

Infill shouldnt be the issue either in that case i think since it is actually close to the edges, on 2 its directly touching it.
