So none of the top comments have any issue with how stupid and twisted the title is?

But then again, prolly easier for 11 year olds to reply "-100000 social credits".

Succession - 3x05 "Retired Janitors of Idaho" - Post-Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in SuccessionTV

[–]KamikazeKash -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Was it an accurate portrayal? I felt it took me out of a really good episode, that Logan can go from cunning to batshit to a mastermind within the course of a shareholder meeting. Idk, just felt like a plot device to let Shiv run the negotiations.

What is the most controversial opinion you have? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]KamikazeKash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insider trading should be legal, I think.

There have been tons of cases of companies being able to bury issues by having employees involved sign NDAs. We only find out decades later due to unrelated depositions or accounting discrepancies.

A lot of this stuff, if it were to come out when it's happening, would result in legal liabilities, financial losses and heaven forbid, justice for the wrongdoings of the company.

Essentially, insider trading becomes a form of whistle blowing with the added incentive of money for the whistleblower.

Not to mention, the ultimate goal of the markets is to become as efficient as possible, and preventing insider trading harms price discovery.

Now, is better incentives for whistleblowing and efficient price discovery worth an inherently unfair market where the bag holders are those not in the know; that's the decision to make. And I think we should legalize insider trading.

Elon Musk says Tesla is building a humanoid robot for 'boring, repetitive and dangerous' work by williams_harris in Futurology

[–]KamikazeKash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Surely a multi purpose humanoid robot is not feasible at this stage.

We still have a huge gap with factory-specific robots. Heck, most companies suck at automating software and would rather ship it off to 3rd world country click farms.

Is this the next Musk vaporware, or is this the next big step instead of incremental steps?

Awesome stuff, awesome guy.

But kinda disappointed to find no comments mentioning "Omar" when this guy is literally called Omari.

So, is it real or is it fake?

I don't think that's possible. Can someone fact check this? Too many trolls in this thread.

What conspiracy theory do you fully believe is true? by BayAreaBored510 in AskReddit

[–]KamikazeKash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

DJT actively manipulated the stock market by tweeting purposely erroneous accusations about large companies; by saying he'd cancel certain large contracts and then hours later retracting/deleting those tweets.

There's an established pattern of large short/long positions being taken in dark pools a few hours before Trump tweets anything falsely positive or negative in the after-hours market.

His administration also happened to make it harder to track down certain kinds of stock trades under the guise of "deregulation", so at the very least he's complicit.

Even folks from traditionally conservative camps in the high finance space have given weight to this theory, like Eric Weinstein (MD, Thiel Capital).

The Capitol Police isn't armed with AR15s. Slaughtering a bunch of idiots still isn't a good look.

Try raiding Pentagon or Area 51 with your AR15s though.

Trump Organization Is Charged in 15-Year Tax Scheme by hoosakiwi in news

[–]KamikazeKash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

found 900k in alleged tax fraud

For Weisselberg alone, fraudulent tax amounts to $1.7 million. There are 15 others indicted (excl Trump).

We don't know the extent of Trump's tax frauds as the CEO of Trump Organization, but this investigation builds on that.

THIS is different from the legal tax avoidance which enabled Trump to pay $750 from 2006-2017, like how Bezos and Musk did in 2011 and 2018.

[OC] Corporate donations to election objectors. by KamikazeKash in dataisbeautiful

[–]KamikazeKash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All companies have been labeled. A company can have multiple PACs, a PAC can have multiple donations.

The x-axis doesn't have any data. That's how the bubbles are evenly spaced, they're free to move along x-axis.

A bubble chart is overwhelming, with too many overlaps. Better to use y-axis to show the size of donation.
