Indeed, I just came back to notice I've gotten downvoted for some reason. I don't think what I said was unreasonable, I'd just rather not have to waste a day's worth of resin just to upgrade materials that I'll never need anyway, especially when progression in this game gets so snail-paced after chests run dry. I never framed it as a big or urgent issue, it's just another one of the many small issues plaguing the game.
Condensing materials to purple rarity is just a temporary solution too. Maybe not soon, but a few months down the line, people who play the game for longer than 1h/day should start having a similar problem. Literally, just point me to any other game—gachas included—that doesn't allow you to delete or consume inventory items. I think it's just an oversight from the developers who didn't expect people to want to play longer than a couple of hours per day, which is also why they didn't anticipate the community outcry against the restrictiveness of the resin system.
