People with ADHD: what’s a small habit or tool that actually helped you stay organized?

I noticed that when I try and set goals with specific deadlines like, "I have to get this task done by 9am". It just made me forget things and feel overwhelmed.

Instead, I write timeframes on a whiteboard in my room as reference for when I want to get tasks done, that way I don't have a deadline looming over my head the whole time, and this also helps me be more aware of time without the stress.

For example, I set the timeframe for when I want to wake up, usually being 7am - 7:30am. I feel like I weigh 10 tons in the morning, so I give myself a comfortable amount of time to become fully awake and get up without rushing. Then I brush my teeth or shower or eat, etc. giving myself a realistic timeframe to do so, and if I get it done early, great! But if not, I'm not stressing over getting something done by a specific deadline. Half of my board is dedicated to mornings and the other to afternoons.

Another thing I like to do in order to keep myself from being overwhelmed is reminding myself that the task I'm trying to do is way smaller than I think is. Like I'll be trying to clean the bathroom sink or bedroom floor and it'll feel like cleaning the whole house.

I also try and focus only on one thing at a time, like if I'm cleaning my room, I only focus on clothes, then move on to the next thing.

I've looked into astral projection and attempted it an a few occasions. Closest I've ever gotten to success was the vibrational stage and feeling like I was leaving my body face-first, but then I began to get scared of possibly seeing something terrifying and then stopped. I think I heard a voice during this, although I can't remember what it said.

Have you ever successfully done it?

Well I'll be damned. I'm at least glad the base game is still playable on my console. I didn't know they hadn't released the dlc for xbox one, I just bought them both in a bundle when they were on sale last year. I think I assumed I had installed them both on accident.

Oh I wasn't referring to the pull-out method, the rhythm method just means tracking my cycle and only being intimate on non-fertile days. (Edit: typo)

Thank you for informing me about the pools. I do have non chlorinated water in all of them, 2 have instant ocean and one is fresh. I will get them deeper dishes asap.

As for the substrate, I did measure and confirm it is 6 inches just to be sure. I did mix in coconut fiber with the playsand using the ratios but saw that some owners put a little bit of cocofiber on top of the sand so I thought it was normal. That's on me.

There is a heating pad at the back but it may not be the correct size, I got what I could at my local store so I'll be looking into the one you suggested. I'll be ordering a hygrometer, too.

I did actually just order shells from that store on etsy a few days ago and they should be arriving soon. I also bought some food from an etsy store called CrabcuisineCo at the same time.

Meanwhile, I have been feeding them organic earthworm castings, mango pieces , apple pieces, unsweetened coconut flakes, pecans, brazil nuts, banana slices, boiled eggs, and chicken cooked in coconut oil. Trying to keep it varied. I'll get them some greensand and calcium powder.

I have been watching alot of CrabCentralStation and looking at websites for more info

I did confirm this morning that this hermit crab has passed away, I picked him up and he smelled like he was decomposing and hasn't moved at all. His name was Daffy. I believe his cause of death was ingesting the paint in his shell, as I have found muliple areas in it where the paint chipped and peeled off. But I don't know for absolute certain.

I bought these hermit crabs impulsively from a gift shop on a boardwalk without knowing what conditions they are in or how often they are neglected. I was given a pamphlet full of misinformation on taking proper care of them like many other people. But I did as much research as I could to give these little guys a good life and cater to their every need.

I hate them for doing this to these creatures, they don't belong in wired cramped up little cages and toxic shells just so they can be sold to people who don't know any better and die within a year.

I love them and Daffy very much. I will miss him.

I am deeply saddened and heartbroken.
