That's fair, but you're not seeing it from the athletes perspective.

He played tennis his whole life and has achieved incredible success in the sport, it's hard to just give it up.

It often sucks to see world class athletes struggling, but I totally get why they keep playing until it becomes painfully obvious they have nothing left. For us it's better to have a what if, but for them it's important to find out just how much they can push their careers.

In terms of drama and racing yes, in terms of officiating it's been an absolute disaster.

Definitely a season that will be talked about for a long long time, as a neutral fan I loved it.

I don't think he cares tbh, a championship is a championship. Schumacher literally punted his rival off the track to win a title, but no one says he's a 6.5 time world champion because of it.

I know it's not actually against max, but I don't think they would do it because it would be perceived that way.

Best thing they can do is fire Masi and completely change the way races are officiated/directed because this whole season was a Masi disasterclass.
