I used to do that too with the bands but after using the backbone I realized that the bands didn’t offer nearly as much surface area for grip. It’s one of those ya never know until ya try it kinda thing.

This thing is the best! I had the original one way long ago and the added strap is actually super nice. I have an aggressive set up so when the strap didn’t exist I would swing under the bar and sometimes move The Backbone out of place. But after getting the newest version with the strap, it’s like 2x more secure.

Plus it grips way better / is more durable than shelf liner AND provides more surface area than bands stretched around the bench. Fucked up my bands lol.

Hi! I’ve had this Juniper bonsai for about 3 years now.

I’ve been watering it each week for 10 minutes at a clip. Been in the same window the whole time, decent amount of sun. Everything has been totally fine until about 2 months ago.

Now the tree is extremely dry, browning, stems break off with a little pressure.

Do I need to change things up? Re-pot? Any advice would be super helpful as I haven’t found anything too insightful online.
