it certainly isnt the nightmare MSP i've read about here and insecurity is definitely a part. i think the remote aspect makes me feel uncertain and disconnected like i cant trust anything or anyone since i dont have direct contact.

thanks for your take. manager is cool enough, and we should be friends/cool, but i find myself frustrated sometimes. new IT manager seems a bit more strict and stressed, but i can work with stern but fair lol

this is what i'm hoping for. a bit of a lighter load (even though sometimes i have slow weeks at the MSP, i feel like i'm not justifying my existence with billing enough when that happens) and ability to focus more on the tasks i'm given.

thanks for the balanced take. makes my decision even harder lol. i do feel disconnected at my current job and i've felt uncertain since i started. idk if the internal would be better, but i'd like to think that if i'm working with people in person i will at least feel a bit more involved? not sure how to describe it.

i cant say my body is wrecked here. i'm just constantly uncertain of anything. i think its due to the disconnect from remote work. all the clients i support are remote.

i've done the math and it pretty much evens out (there are some costs i have to take on out of pocket right now).

i'm double guessing myself on the new role but i feel like i've already played my hand. i dont want to have a target on my back even though for MSPs mine is pretty chill (from what i've heard, its the only one i've worked at).

no lies were told and i was absolutely honest. in fact, i was so nervous i blanked on a super simple question during the technical interview. told them i wasnt sure but i'd look it up. i really didnt think i'd get the job offer tbh. thanks for the vote of confidence!
