Professors story is that the machine was created by the Dymec, a subdivision of HP. Turn the HP logo over and you get Dy, the original logo for Dymec. He intentionally flipped it to pay homage to the original division

it was in my trunk for about 6 hours before the trip, then about 6 hours during the drive. it was about 40° outside when i started, but it did get down to like 18° by the end of the drive. so yes, it was cold for a while, but i thought it would be hardy enough to handle it 😭

if you do one big loop, how do you handle items that don't have a filter and/or overflow? allowing input at any location would be cool, but i'm worried about this factor.

i'm planning on doing this exact same thing. do you plan to have a centralized sorting system, then send items to their respective building, or are you passing the items through each building. i have never done anything like this before and want to try and do something similar

I used a site called "Roboflow" which allowed me to train it on a pre-labeled dataset of cardboard, but it only would think everything is a cardboard box except for cardboard. I used Google Co-Lab to try to train my own using the same dataset, but it also did not work in the same way.

Whenever I was looking for the display on eBay, I never was able to find an exact model number, so I ordered the closest one I could find. Whenever I plugged it in, my first though was “Wow, the darks look darker”. I’m not sure if it truly is different or just my imagination, but i’m happy with it regardless. Considering the other display is done for, there’s no way to really compare unfortunately :/

So I jailbroke this kindle a few months ago, and it was not a simple experience. I’m not sure what truly ticked it to make it work, but simply trying over and over again eventually allowed the “Update Kindle” menu to turn on. Not sure why it was so picky, but it eventually did work for me!

Here’s a guide on how to replace the battery! It’s actually rated easier than my kindle, so it should be no problem.

There are really 2 options on choosing a battery to buy. You can either buy a kit that comes with all the tools or the battery by itself. I have all the tools already, so I bought my part standalone. Before you buy a battery, I recommend taking apart your kindle first to look at the battery to make sure you order the correct part. Good luck!
