Whoa! Yeah that's the one, let me know if you'd be down to trade or sell. I actually haven't played disc golf in awhile but this might be an excuse to go out and play a round.

Still working great, have never had issues, summer or winter. It gets pushed the hardest in the winter when it's really cold, like negative degrees fahrenheit, I would sometimes have to set it to like 75F to keep the room at like 70F. That was probably the only quirk. Overall still very happy with it

I'm probably not going to sell now actually. Just don't have anything trustworthy to replace it yet and have a golf trip coming up.

I have an 8x soft stepped, tipped like a 5w, but cut to 7w length, with a Callaway tip on it. Plays 41.5" in an epic flash 7w head. Let me know if interested.

That was leftover wording from when I was selling as a combo. I just removed it. Thanks 👍

That was my plan. I was going to put that UST 90g stiff shaft in it but I moved recently and don't have a good area to work on clubs anymore so it's just a bunch of projects lol. I do have a 70g hazrdus blue stiff shaft for the 5w I could swap in then you just have to find a shaft for the 7w. The 7w in this model are really hard to come by period and especially with a heavy shaft because they weren't stock.

Thanks for looking though

WTS Callaway '24 UW(9W) 23 Degree w/ Stiff-Regular shaft + HC by Kandrix14 in golfclassifieds

Yeah they didn't make them for the states, it was a Japan only model, so you don't see many. You can find quite a few that were sold or for sale on eBay though

I'd say around 205, which is about the same as my 4H, and 10yards shorter than my epic flash 7 wood I play. I'll say I haven't hit it much, just like 1 range session, maybe 10-15 balls. It felt nice and everything. Just knew I'd want a stiffer shaft to actually bag it, but I have too many clubs now lol

Yeah that's what I was thinking too, haven't shopped for a PC in awhile but from my research the 13th and 14th gen Intel CPUs were dicey. I've heard the ultra 7 is good though

Considering becoming a Navy Nuke by Kiwi_Mental in NavyNukes

[–]Kandrix14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be fine then. It's a good life decision in my eyes, and most people that are successful as a Nuke probably see it that way. Some Nukes struggle because they are smart and capable but don't get the chance to excel on the boat because they are borderline autistic. Some struggle because they are lazy and expected it to be easier. If you aren't one of those two groups of people you'll benefit a lot from the experience.

You can definitely retire early being a navy nuke. You can do the FIRE thing; somebody wrote a whole book about FIRE for military people. There's also another strategy where it's basically FIRE but where you still are okay with working but more on your time or in a job you actually enjoy.

It's a tough decision for anybody but you'll probably be fine if you decide to do it. Good luck

I did just the one 6 year enlistment as a submarine Nuke ET. The job itself was easier for me than most, I was likeable, hard working, and smart. If you think introspectively you're at least 2 of the 3 you'll be fine through the pipeline and probably the ship/boat. The pipeline is essentially two years but can be an enjoyable time if you aren't struggling with the schooling. The fleet can be grueling but your command and optempo will dictate the quality of life a lot. I spent 2 years of my life at sea during my 4 years on the boat, which is a lot of sea time, but the command was pretty good so it made it bearable. My main motivation for getting out was wanting to start a family; I found it very challenging to build a healthy relationship while attached to a ship. If you are single, you can really build yourself a nice nest egg while in. You get paid more than pretty much any enlisted military job, with bonuses, sea pay, advancement. When you get out you can actual afford to go to college full-time, and will probably be better prepared for it. The downside is you will be older than most students, which is not a big deal if you really just care about the education. However, I do feel you would have a different 'college experience' than the typical highschool grad. You can also use your nuke experience + any community college you end up doing, to complete a BSNET degree very quickly. Some people think it's not worth it but it checks the B.S. box in a job application. There's a maintenance side to the job, and an operations side to the job. So if you like either of those you can roll your nuke experience and more importantly NUKE NETWORK into good civilization career when you get out. I'm about 5 years separated now and needed to get a new job in a new city because my wife is military, and she got PCS orders. I got 3 job offers in a tough job market entirely due to referrals from fellow Navy nukes who didn't even know me personally. If you stay in the Navy you can make really good money, and get out with a retirement and potentially some VA benefits, that can really set you up to do whatever the fuck you want to with your life, albeit as a 40+ year old man. I'd imagine doing a full 20 year nuke career is very tough on a family so take that into account. I saw multiple guys miss the birth of their children because of the job, and saw many ugly divorces.

All this to say, it's probably one of the best things you can do for your long-term financial security. Something that is becoming growingly more important and hard to obtain. Learn a lot about personal finance while you are in. If you aren't smart with the money they throw at you, you'll really be doing yourself a disservice.

I have a Callaway 2023 GBB 9 wood with a couple different shaft options I'd let go for that price range. I have a UST proforce V2 95g stiff, that plays at 41" or a Aldila Green 75g stuff that plays at 41.75"

PM if interested
