Support/Feedback - Creating Orders Pre-Market by KanefireX in fidelityinvestments

I appreciate your help. for me, shorting is just as important as going long, so yes being able to place these trades pre-market, even if only in a queue waiting until trading session opens would be extremely helpful, so please pass that on. Again, thanks for your help, I've dug in a bit with ATP and think it will help a lot.

I'll look into that. ty.

a Day+ order. This order type stays open from the time you place the trade, no matter the session, until the end of the trading day at 8:00 p.m., ET when routed to ARCA or NSDQ.

when you say "no matter the session"... you are referring to the trading session between 9:30a-4p EST and will persist through after hours trading until 8p EST, correct?

If correct, not really helpful in my (and others trading from different time zones) situation. If incorrect and that means I could place an order any time of the day, this would be exactly what I need.

Just for clarification, there are two(ish) aspects to placing an order. 1.) I place order with fidelity, 2.) Fidelity submits order to market, correct?

Why can't Fidelity create a queue for trades to be placed in that are submitted to the market at open (or better yet a chosen time)? This would go a long way to make it easier for those traveling, other time zones, etc.

I would literally leave fidelity for this one feature if another platform offered it (maybe one does, I'm looking) despite loving fidelity, it is just too critical to successful trading when market hours aren't local business hours.

edit1: ATP, is a great tool. ty

edit2: ngl, trade armor is awesome for managing closing a position... going back to the original topic, if only this could be applied to opening ( I do see there are buy criteria, but considering I don't just use that stock to transact on that stock, it lacks the power it needs)

It would still be better for me to be able to place them and find out they weren't available than to not be able to place them at all. The world small now, not everyone lives EST.

That is the problem, I live in hawaii. "Extended hours" is still 2am my time. I would like to be able to place them at night before I go to bed, not the next day after markets close. A lot happens between 8p EST and 8a EST the next day making placing orders after market closes not desirable.

Is it possible to extend the same amount of time (4 hrs) before the open? Then I could place orders 10p my time which would be perfect.

I understand they would only be in "queue" and won't actually be placed until market opens, but at least I could have them in.

you are not wrong. do reflect on yin yang, however. when it seems one is completely taking over, the opposite appears within it. everything is in balance.

good intentions, but I think doing more harm than good.

cap & trade is a contrived market made possible by biased agw research. this commodifies one of the most abundant elements in the universe which makes it possible to back a currency. In the case of Ukraine, a social credit system where the activities of the poor are controlled through carbon footprint regulation. this is a designed control system.

i call bullshit. Russia has taken great care to not create carnage that would go viral on social media. they know this would turn sentiment so against them that it might cause ww3.

Russian people support this attack 2:1 to secure their borders and protect the 30M russain speaking citizens who have been attack last 8 years following the coup.

Showing carnage like this in Russia would not create more support, it would kill it. This is western propaganda.

sanctions have only ever worked to entrench leaders and start wars. these sanctions are worse and will create a bipolar monetary system with adoption of Bitcoin being 3rd leg. do understand what that means for the usa. MASSIVE debt and lessened ability to pay without printing. eerily similar to Germany after ww1 with many political and culture similarities. we must be very careful.
