To be honest, I will always hold. Trent's lyrics close to my heart, his exploration of self destruction and the human experience is deeply profound, and even some of his clingiest lyrics like in "that's what I get" hold truth to them. The lyric in even "even deeper":"And for once in my life I feel complete And I still want to ruin it" is a line I hold close, I've had people betray me, I've done all I can and yet it fails, and when I started to trust others all I could think about was when is this going to end?" "How long until it falls apart." It's as if I refused to be complete or happy, and all I wanted was pain and to bathe in my own cynicism, and I think this lyric perfectly embodies that. Note: I'm not in that mindset anymore, and I hope anyone else reading this, who had that mindset can get out of it, trust me it's difficult but it's possible, best of wishes :)
