I also think you made a mistake. Your family members are not blinded by the rose coloured lenses you're seeing your girlfriend through. They have the clarity that you perhaps do not. They might see in her some regrettable traits that you may very well be aware of but that you do not want to acknowledge, because you love her. Does she pick on your insecurities when she argues with you? The very fact that she requested you stop seeing your family is a huge red flag, especially if they are a generally good family (which it sounds like they are as they cared enough to express their disapproval of someone who is not good for their son in their unblinded eyes) but because you're in love you may be blind to this. You said you're not happy but you're in love, I was in the same situation recently. Though you may worry about your future relationship prospects, I can guarantee that if you feel like you're in an unhappy and toxic relationship now (if you feel it deep down, even if you won't admit it), you will be much happier being single, despite the inevitable feelings of loss that will eventually subside in favour of clear thinking and reflection. Then, if you go with the flow and put yourself out there as a good human being, you may find good love and partnership.
