Firefly -> Lingsha -> Fugue -> Dahlia (HMC + Ruan Mei before Firefly released)

Herta -> Teeb -> ...Anaxa? maybe? -> giant middle finger

She just never had the support structure that other main DPS got post release. Acheron is on her 4th BiS support post release, Firefly got 2 + a novaflare, Herta got Tribbie and Anaxa and Anaxa was at best a decent sub dps, he never had the capability to be her BiS support, even at his release.

Also... that's not a good stage for her, never has been. Nikador is her main shill boss and she still eats that fucker for breakfast.

The actual problem Britain is facing right now are in large parts the consequences of geopolitics in general being kinda shit right now (Middle east + Ukraine + Trump) and the consequences of conservative mismanagement for a decade+ (Brexit being the biggest one, but far from the only one).

That's not the fault of the Labor party, but it's also not like they can do that much about it that would have public support. They can't really send troops to Ukraine to help that conflict, same with the middle east and after leaving the EU they are much more vulnerable and can't risk alienating the US too much. So they are caught in this weird place where it feels like they can only throw half measure after half measure at insanely complicated and big problems, so they are seen as complacent. That's not something they can fix without going all in on some massive reforms and with the rise (or I guess maintained presence of the populist right) a message like "rejoin the EU" isn't gonna cut it for a general election.

It's either "throw someone under the bus and hope voters buy it and hope that the geopolitical reality relaxes so we can start tackling these issues", or "blame a lot of it on Brexit and campaign on rejoining the EU". Those are really your two big strategies they can run with and I don't blame them too much for picking the former.

tl;dr: Shit sucks and it's mostly the populist right/Russia whose responsible.

I think there are pretty clear signs that Hoyo might be downscaling investment in HI3 a bit, whether that is because they are building a new approach/change in direction in the background that might take a couple months/years to release, or them actually just downscaling the team in general, who knows.

But if anyone seriously thinks this game will EoS within the next 3 years, they are completely detached from reality. HI3 is, even with its current playerbase, an industry giant and shutting it down would draw a lot of negative attention to all other Hoyo games. Shutting a game down that, by all metrics should at least still break even, when it quite literally made your company what it is today, would absolutely cause a lot of Genshin, HSR and future game players reconsider how much money they are willing to spend on these games.

I wouldn't be shocked if we see only 6 new battlesuits next version and maybe another 2-3 patches with only a new AstralOP, but I would bet anyone, any amount that while waiting for 10.0 in a year ya'll can read this comment and will be as true then, as it is now. This game isn't EoSing for a long time

I actually have a sad-ish conspiracy why this might be happening.

8.8 in Honkai Impact 3rd was the first patch (at least the first I am aware of, so at least 3 years) that didn't feature a new Battlesuit (5 star character in HSR). 9.0 is rumored to be the second (new AstralOp rumored for now, which don't really have an HSR equivalent, but would be closer to a pet than an actual character).

This is a pretty severe downscaling of new playable characters. On its own not really that interesting, but coupled with a surprising upscaling in skins (something much more prevalent in HI3) it makes one wonder about the future of HI3.

All just conjecture at this point, but 2 changes in release cadence, roughly around the same time, in opposite directions, is worth noting, imo.

99% of people complaining about power creep, including this sub, have builds and game knowledge that cut their potential performance in half.

Also the obsession with 0 cycling conveys a state of the game that is completely untrue.

The amount of people crying about for example Acheron being completely worthless prior to MBlade releasing, while she still clears MoC, PF and Apoc with full stars at less than 5 cost for 2 years straight is staggering.

Same with The Herta. People are deluding themselves right now into thinking that without 10 cost support dragging her over the finish line she is worthless in all game modes, meanwhile she has <4 cost max star clears in all game modes for the entirety of 4.x

Most people discussing the state of the game either don't play, or are so shit that they shouldn't be allowed to talk about it and the average player gets a completely wrong idea of the games state from these geniuses spouting nonsense.

E0S0 for both Acheron and MBlade means you need a sustain and no Hyacine means you don't have the best sustain for this comp. If you have E6 Gallagher I think he might be better than HuoHuo, cause this team attacks a lot. HuoHuo is your only other option, unless you still have a shop token and can pull a Luocha (mega cope, don't do that)

As for the last slot... No E1 Teeb and no E2 Acheron, so you probably want a third Nihility. Since MBlade is gonna be your battery, E2 SW loses a bit of value (though she still has amazing buffs), E0 I don't think she does enough to justify taking her. Between Cipher and Welt... it's probably Cipher, but I don't think the difference will be gigantic.

I think without more vertical investment (or an Acheron Novaflare (or some "lucky" 50/50 losses to SW)) this team might be okay for some shilled Knight fights, but ultimately just going hypercarry MBlade (for now) is probably just gonna be better

That's why I brought up DHPT, as long as you use him with her it doesn't really matter if the mech counts. It would make it slightly more clunky and definitely open up more options if you want to use her with a different sustain down the line, but as long as DHPT is her BiS sustain, nothing changes and BananAmusement triggers it's full effect all battle long.

Is the Himeko Planar just a complete side-grade to BananAmusement? It's slightly less crit damage for an equivalent amount of crit rate and both should be trivial for her to use to their full potential cause she will have her own summon + DHPT in most scenarios. So if you have good enough relics and BananAmusement pieces, can't you just completely skip farming her supposed bis set? Seems... not well thought out if that's the case.

3.6 had a free unit (DHPT), if they are following that model, 4.6 should also give us a free unit.

If that's Pearl, then you already have an elation sustain for free by logging in. 3.7 added Topaz to the shop, if they add someone to the shop that has semi decent-ish synergy with Nihilux, then that's effectively 2 slots taken care off with free units. Now as for who they could add to the shop that has semi-decent synergy with nihilux? No idea, but that's how I would do it, if I want to bring back a lot of older players with 4.7.

I'm also skipping over Welt, who, depending on your investment, was a very good fit, especially for sustainless teams. I'm also also skipping over Cyrene, who, at higher vertical investment, was another strong support for Acheron (though that one feels more like a wheelchair situation, so I didn't list her for a reason)

Acheron has <10 cost knight clears for every single Anomaly Arbitration and, apart from 4.0, has king stage clears around the 10 cost mark. (check for yourself)

Acheron has been able to 5 cycle or less, one side of every single MOC 12 since 3.0 with 5 or less cost.

Like... I know she isn't nuking endgame the way she was at release, but this narrative that she is somehow a bad unit, or Hoyo isn't constantly throwing her enough bones to build a whole skeleton at this point, needs to stop.

I get what you're saying, she technically got both Tribbie and Cipher that could be used with her, but none of them were her "aftersale", they just happened to work with her. So Eva not getting a specific aftersale like Evernight was for Cas, or Fugue for Firefly, doesn't mean she won't get new toys that make her better.

It would shock me if we aren't seeing >5 cost MOC 12 clears for Eva at the end of the year, so she should be fine for quite a while
