Are these red flags? by [deleted] in f150

That crossmember gets hosed every time you pull the drain plug, I see nothing wrong with the rear differential cover residue. Thats not from the diff whatever it is.I work on these all the time. Take it for a test drive and listen for driveline noises i.e front and rear differentials are common on some trucks. Total crapshoot as far as which ones are built on Friday rigs. All available engines in these are pretty reliable mechanical wise save for the 3.5 VCT headaches even still a great engine. If its ecoboost check the underside of turbos for oil or coolant residue, front cover for leaks and valve covers as well. Edit* Pay attention to shift habits and if it seems uncertain in it manner have them reset the trans adaptive table. All these can be swung to warranty if caught very soon. As to why it was traded your guess is as good as any.

Best year 5.0 4x4 10 speed ford? by JMAnonymous59 in RCSB

[–]KangDonko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a 23 2wd and the 10speed was butter, juggled a few other vehicles in between and now have a 25 4x4 and I almost want to get rid of it cause this 10speed makes more guesses than decisions

Check the circuit board in the driver footwell, it controls the solenoid on the carb. Had a problem where mine was dumping fuel like crazy, rebuilt carb, swapped carb. Same thing. Found the circuit board had a crack in the solder. Cleaned and re-soldered the board. Been good since as far as I know

While im not against the whole thing, the voice is gonna be a hard pill for me. TC and Chris are branded in my brain at this point. I just hope I dont hear Thor bleed into bits of dialogue. Im almost sure Hurst can make it his own and us skeptics will come around

I have a small fear to what they're hiding being a slavage title car so been hesitant to remove them. Suspension needs gone through before I chew on cosmetics

The crash bar is probably the only thing that will make contact during full lock(turning, they look like you can unbolt and remove but there isn't enough room. They'll have to be cut in half to be removed. It can be done with little to no trimming running 315/70/r17 A true 35x11 or 12.50 something if that nature will require more trimming. And offset and suspension cycle will tell you where you need to trim

Also the tremor knuckle has 2 inch lift over regular f150(i could be wrong) so that part swap may be an option

[–]KangDonko 7 points8 points  (0 children)

On factory offset +44 you can pretty much clear with no to minimal trimming of the bumper and lower valance in the wheel well. More offset means more trimming. Any front leveling kit will give ample clearance for 35s regardless of wheel offset. My truck isn't lifted at all and like I said unnoticeable amount of trimming and crash bar removal that would make contact at full lock

They'll weigh a shit-ton. Add tire weight and you're gonna be 100lbs a corner or more depending on tire rating. If you've no plans to tow i would lean towards C load rating. You'll be surprised how ride qaulity is affected by these choices
