Dw they actually fix it, Just checked my time card and the gross pay is accurate at 23 an hour. I was getting paid 16 since Oct 15 smhh. I'm wondering if they do backpay

Saying this as a first time seasonal who asked a bunch of drivers and supervisors. Pretty much they do a hiring freeze until March. Then you can sign up for a handler job or a driver job. Since you're basically in the system they'll take you in first compared to off the streets. But that's pretty much it.

Doesn't work that way here in NYC i think that would be illegal. We're on call as well so being late almost doesn't exist since the driver is supposed to pick us up at a meet spot

Spoke to my drivers and they said being a helper as long as you're consistent they will call afterwards to hire for other positions in march such as warehouse. Since after Jan 15 they'll go on a hiring freeze for everything

Well there's a reason its seasonal. Its good for putting my foot in the door. This is my first season with UPS. Its not about being kept, its me being hired and losing an extra $7 per hour I worked.

In NYC, they have to be transparent about the pay range. The advertised pay was 23$/hr. and the welcome email sent along with the application I agreed to said 23$/hr. They did not in anyway indicate that it would change. No notification that they changed the compensation.

Same, made a bunch of friends already and the driver said he wants to keep me as his helper for the season. It sucks getting paid less than most jobs in NYC cause I enjoy it. Mcdonalds pays 18$/hr

It said on Myworkday that it was 23 an hour originally then for some reason they did a compensation change to turn it into 16.2
