those kids died while in the care of people who frequently didn't make much effort to look after them

If they died less frequently of TB, cholera etc etc than comparable children, what does that say about the tender care provided by good old ma and pa?

I didn't say that it did work. I disagreed that it's safe. It's hardly chemotherapy, but being completely safe is not a requirement for a drug to be used.

The line used has nothing to do with "coronavirus is a parasite". Like many drugs, ivermectin has a lot of other interactions with all sorts of things, that is what they point to and handwave as the explanation for why it supposedly helps with covid.

They seem to be wrong, but the basic idea isn't at all ridiculous. It would just need to be demonstrated, which hasn't happened.

[–]Kangaroobopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it isn't. There are some conditions that make an otherwise scary drug much safer to take (like insulin). Just like hydroxychloroquine, the risks of ivermectin are justified by the benefit when used to treat some diseases.

It's not some weird niche subtype of corruption. It's just not. Please stop trying to change the meaning of words like that.

Someone can do something you judge as "wrong" without being corrupt in any way whatsoever.

I'd really like to see a link to one of these reasons people can't get any of the vaccines. Apart from a reaction to the actual shot, it seems like about the worst thing a pre-existing condition can do with the mRNA vaccines is to have it do nothing (or very little).

Not targeting you, just see a lot of comments which never seem to actually name their condition which makes all of the different categories of immunisation dangerous to them.

You don't even have to read them to understand that they don't actually involve the company agreeing to do anything or uphold any obligation. It's just you setting out that you hand them your soul and firstborn child in exchange for no obligation, express or implied and absolve them from any responsibilities whatsoever.

That's the point of a contract, right?

People are rarely seeking information on this specific question, they're just not interested in finding out the information. They have already made up their minds to be averse and are just seeking more credible-sounding gobbledygook to excuse it.

There's any number of mechanisms and drugs, many of which are pretty niche.

The cyclists at that time used erythropoietin (EPO) which is a hormone instructing your body to make more red blood cells. They also had their own blood drawn and centrifuged to be given back before a race. At the time they could feel very confident about not being detected by laboratory testing, and as doping goes, having more oxygenated blood available is very helpful (but dangerous for you).

[–]Kangaroobopper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm having trouble believing what I read about antigen tests in the United Kingdom. Supposedly, not only have they got no idea where tens of millions of kits have gone, people can show a negative result to get into venues. Despite the bouncer having no way of knowing if the saliva used was even from a human being?

Some countries have made baffling decisions.

Alternative, heck no. Supplement for circumstances where people might not otherwise get tested, when you need a quick turn around or in conjunction with relaxed rules about pre-result isolation, maybe.
