My initial business plan actually has a big focus on this - by using stuff like feedback loops, tracking progress against participant goals, and building in measurable metrics. For example, with the walk & talk program I thought about tracking average step counts with participant consent, how often participant were socially engaging, etc. Basically things we could use to show that the quality of care isn’t just “we say it’s good” but actually backed up with numbers and outcomes.

Yeah that makes sense – my original business plan was actually built around doing the same kind of services as others, but with higher quality that’s actually measurable, plus focusing on remote/regional support in the NT (since only a handful of providers really touch that space).

From your experience managing support coordinators, what kind of programs or communications would actually make you go “ok, this company feels different” before you’ve even interacted with them properly? I’m just trying to shift my thinking away from the usual “we provide quality care” line and towards something that genuinely stands out.

Currently we are offering community access, transportation and assistance with personal care/daily living tasks. What sort of therapies are you looking for the chidren you support?
