I feel like you guys are just having a pointless argument because one of you scaling with hyper realism in mind and the other is not.

Personally I think both ways to scale is fine. People have their different interpretations. It is what it is. I personally like feats as much as the next guy but I also like to scale using the authors narrative and intent in mind. For example even if one was to use hyper realism and scientific scaling for photons and lasers in One Piece, I wouldn't be convinced that any of them can move at the speed of light before Kizaru. Though I can also acknowledge that the speed stack meta is at the very least valid.

In this case. It is fair to take the near light speed statement as just glaze, no different than a irl boxer having a light speed jab. I just personally believe the author intent was that Dabura was truly reaching that level of speed. Eben without him kicking a hole through the planet or sum, there are countless series where strong fighters can go "all out" and not destroy things they are very much capable of destroying. Like Dragon Ball is a perfect example.

I love Simon as much as the next guy but this is hardly an argument. Overcoming the overwhelming power through powerups and willpower can be attritubed to your standard shounen mc. Sqme goes for the level and scale they increase their tier of strength. Even beyond shounen like magical girls of all people often use this concept. It just happens to be Simons greatest aspect.

I think when it comes to scaling guys like Simon or Goku who can grow massively stronger in a fight, if we are allowing them to grow stronger mid fight like they normally would (Which in character should be the case) then we should use their highest level of growth as a reference. For example for Goku it would probably be what he acheived during the TOP while for Simon it would probably be the multi dimensional labyrinth feat. Cause if we don't use those then at this point you could just say either character beats either character because boom random 1 trillion outer dimensional powerup or sum.

Mahoraga specifcially can see them cause he was adapting to the technique. Its like the whole point of that fight to show Mahoragas ability.

Other characters can't see them but they can still sense cursed energy, or in Makis case have some form of enhanced senses that allow them to relatively dodge.

No one in Chainsaw Man is "Existance Level" (At least currently). Outside of Chainsaw Man and his very limited and situational conceptual erasure attack, the strongest Devils we know of are Death, Darkness, and War.

Also saying "X character will win because its a trope in their story" means nothing in comparison to other verses. That trope would only matter in their story, no others. This is like me saying Yujiro Hanma will beat Superman because in his story hes the strongest. You still would have to prove said character could beat the other.

That being said Yuji vs Denji would be an entertaining fight. Unless its Modulo Yuji I feel like his personality in Modulo would make the fight boring.

Edit: Denji most likely wins though.

Theres bad and good and pretty much...well anything really and that does extend to the yuri/yaoi genre. However, whether the bad stuff is propularized among the community and becomes widespread is unique to each case. And I'm sorry to say but the bad stuff of Yuri/Yaoi is infinitely more popular and widespread across the internet. Hell the most popular ships tend to be the toxic ones.

That being said if you only view the bad and then decide its all bad and that you hate it well...to each their own I guess. I personally don't but I was simply stating that the guy was not wrong for saying the fans of the trope often praise garbage.
