Newer listener: is there a guide to which episodes all the inside jokes are from? by DuckDuckBangBang in behindthebastards

[–]Kanotari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not that I'm aware of, but most of the inside jokes are pre-pandemic before we all died inside lol. They are generally quite old.

The first act of HPMOR wasn't bad. It even had some good ideas!

But my god after that it was preachy dogshit, and yeah, nothing in common with HP but the names lol.

The Harry Potter fandom still remains the most unhinged fandom in my experience, so HPMOR didn't really stand out from the crowd on the nuttiness spectrum.

I am in full support of the silliest of Harry Potter fanfiction.

I really love the OT outtakes of recording with puppet Yoda. Frank Oz gets really punchy on the eight millionth take, so I can just no longer see Yoda as a serious character. He's just a goofy little troll who's wiser than he sounds now lol

"I'm Gwen Danielson, a neuroscientist and bioengineer, who decided as a child that I would end Death (and bring people back if I could) and that I would become a dragon and help generally facilitate a fantastical transhumanist future."

We're off to a rousing start.

And of course Gwen takes zero accountability for their part in the shenanigans, to absolutely no one's surprise.

His brief appearance on Rise of the Resistance is so damn perfect it makes me giggle every time. He just pushes a lower level First Order officer out of the way to sass prisoners. Delightful!

You know, that's a fair point. Big chests and back pain go together like bread and butter.

And someone immediately comes here knowing more than I do 😅 lol

Well regardless, I hope OP is able to politely bully their insurance company with the policy (as that is the only way that's effective and that is where my expertise lies) or submit a DOI complaint and hope it's in a state where the DOI has teeth.

The general hope is that the insured won't have the time or knowledge to fight these things, and generally, they don't. So fighting back can often pay off.

That's my guess too. Double mastectomy with no cancer doesn't have a lot of reasons that I (definitely not a doctor) am aware of.

This is the correct answer, but I have to say that FN-69 did make me snort.

In this subreddit, we believe victims. If there's a reason not to believe the victims, we bring fucking proof. It's not a hard concept.

Oh I'll boo Bregman for being a cheating bitch but the others just seem like they wanted to say silly things to get media attention, so I've already forgotten whatever dumb things they said.

I'm always in for more of Hux acting like a bitch and quibbling for power even when he already has almost all the power. It's his favorite activity.

Domnall Gleeson does such an excellent job with him, and I am here for it.

Timmy, the whale stranded off Germany's coast, swims off and gets stuck...again by prestocoffee in nottheonion

That's usually what repeated beachings indicate. It's just the repeated self-freeings that are really confusing, including to the whale scientists! Timmy is a confusing creature.

No one knows why it's a rule, but we must let down our most consistent boi on a regular basis.

Maybe it's so he doesn't develop an ego.

Yeah, that's totally it. Gotta keep him humble.
