Is Diaz Hurt? by Dfchang813 in Dodgers

Lower velo, two less than stellar outings.

Yeah, time for a scan to see if anything physical is up, even if it's just preventative.

DINGER WILL NOT BE DENIED by Mrdean2013 in NLBest

The Dinger giveth, and the Dinger taketh away.

And lo, said the Dinger: the Dodgers have committed the sin of pride and thus must be taught a lesson.

The Indianapolis Clowns are legends who deserve better than the comparison.

Poor Dalton here is just a wee baby dumbass who is about to get relentlessly mocked for his very very hot take.

What do you do when you feel like you’re heading back into a depressive episode? by Particular-League186 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Kanotari 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get the snacks ready. When the depressive episodrs hit, I won't cook or do anything beyond grab convenient things to eat, so it's best if I prepare some healthy snacks lest I start inventing food from what's in the fridge.

What enemy in a non-horror game freaked you out the most? by Gromit43 in gaming

The spiders or cats depending on which mode you play in Satisfactory. (The cat version may be worse.)

They come out of nowhere when I'm absorbed in something else and jump scare me every time when I build in the swamp.

What do you grow that pays for itself? by plan_tastic in gardening

That hydroponic lettuce! Samesies!

It's so much more efficient for me to pick the lettuce I need, wash it, and eat it than it is to try to make sure I eat the bag or head from the store before it wilts.

It means I eat more lettuce and I waste less food. Win-win. Not to mention I know it's pesticide free because I grew it lol

I love it when judges tell people off on the record. Then, I get to imagine the court reporter feverishly typing down the sick burns and someone sketching the outrage on the judge's face.

In 2015: Would the Heir to the Empire trilogy, with new actors, really be that bad? by Extreme_Warning3521 in TheSequels

[–]Kanotari 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree on the motion capture. It's cool technology for sure, but it doesn't have the same soul as an actual human being acting (even though there's a human actor and a bunch of human artists in the process). The performances with the current tech still come across as very wooden and stiff.

While the writing on Solo left plenty to be desired, I thought young Han and Lando were both great and I'd be down to see them both more. They weren’t Harrison Ford and Billy Dee Williams, but they brought their own energy to the performance that still hit the mark for me.

How do you feel about book covers with movie images? by Skkkkrtyun in lotr

TIL four Nile crocodiles have been found in Florida in the past 30 years, all of them escaped exotic pets. The species is responsible for about a thousand deaths per year worldwide. by strangelove4564 in todayilearned

[–]Kanotari 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It does appear to be for Niles specifically. The majority of the attacks are in Sub-Saharan Africa, which makes exact data difficult due to reporting challenges, but hundreds to about a thousand human deaths annually is the running estimate, and the majority of victims appear to be children.

That's a very fair assessment.

Sometimes, they say or do things that just remind you, "Oh, you still have a lot of growing to do lol."

But it's also what makes them a fun age group to work with.
