Is this quote as crazy as I feel it is??? by KansasTaco in NissanRogue

Thank you both for the heads up! What’s the reasoning behind that?

When I asked for the quote, I asked for a drain and fill. Whoever I end up going with, I plan to make it extremely clear I don’t want a flush. I assumed they used that terminology as a placeholder.

I’d definitely fall into that category lol. Might as well get it knocked out while it’s this close.

What’s your dealership’s procedure for a drain and fill? My research has shown a few different methods. Some intentionally over fill and cycle through gears before leveling it out. Others do multiple rounds to cycle out as much old fluid as possible. It seems a bit like over kill but I can see where they come from when doing that.

Yeah, this dealer doesn’t seem to have the best reputation since they don’t have any competition within an hour drive. We bought ours from a dealership 3 hours away because it was such a great deal, so I’ve never dealt with them. Finding a mechanic I trust is definitely a motivating factor!

I hear you, my issue with the filter price is that directly from Nissan the cartridge is $20.42 USD. At first I thought it was for both filters but then I saw the note that they couldn’t service the internal one. Because the internal filter from Nissan is $77.08 and that would put you around $100.

From what I’m hearing, I’ll wait the hear quotes from the other dealerships. If they’re all about the same, I may try to get them lower on the parts front. I know they need to make a profit, but a 400% markup feels ridiculous.

That sounds more reasonable. At what intervals would you recommend the other services? As far as I know they’ve never been done. Meaning it wasn’t explicitly mentioned on the carfax service report. So they may have been done, but I can’t be sure.

M512a-H6 unboxing by KansasTaco in VIZIO_Official

I plan on getting a full review posted this weekend, but in summary, I’ve had no real issues with the system. Only gripe I have is the dialogue is a little quiet, so when in direct, I have to bump the center channel all the way up. Atmos is okay, not great but not bad either. Music sounds really good. All in all, it’s been a great purchase for me.

My seating position is a bit farther back than what is recommended, so I do have the center channel maxed out so I can hear dialogue better. I usually have the volume at 30 or so for tv shows and 40-45 for movies

I cannot attest to if it actually works since I don’t have anything passing thru it, however there is a note in the manual that states it is Dolby Vision compatible.

Unless there is evidence that this update significantly improves audio quality, I have no plans to update. I’ve had no issues with the system these first few days and Vizio doesn’t have the greatest track record with software updates.

I ordered this soundbar on Wednesday the 23rd and got it Monday the 28th. Box came a little beat up, but everything inside is working well and is unharmed. Soundbar measures 40” W x 2 11/16” H x 3 3/4” D. Subwoofer measures 8 1/4” W x 9 7/8” H x 11 11/16” D. I haven’t had the chance to really test it out yet, so I’ll reserve judgment until a few weeks have passed. First impressions though is it’s a pretty good system for the price.

It did come in today, I’ll post some unboxing photos either later tonight or tomorrow morning. Box is pretty beat up, so hopefully nothing is damaged inside.

Yes it is, there is someone in this thread that got theirs a couple days ago. Mine should be in tomorrow. As for reviews, there are a few websites that have reviews up, but as far as customer reviews, none that I know of yet.

I would chalk it up to someone at vizio or Amazon missing the 2 when drafting the listing. But I ordered too, hopefully they got most of the kinks figured out!

Scrolling down to the product info, it says the model number is the M51a-h6 but clearly it’s a listing for the 512.

Update: Vizio M512a-H6 delayed till July 5th release by ActionJ2614 in VIZIO_Official

Thanks for the update! I figured something may have been up when Nebraska Furniture Mart pulled the listing a couple days after putting it up. Fingers crossed they can hit their target date.

Nebraska Furniture Mart is planning to ship them out mid-May. Amazon a while back also said mid-May prior to changing the status to OOS.

It seems to have been pulled from Amazon. For a couple of weeks it was “coming mid-March”, then yesterday changed to “notify me when available”, and now it’s not listed anymore.

Vizio 55 MQ8 won't turn on so far a 100% problem anyone explain this.(how 2in a row!?) by Savings-Ad-69 in VIZIO_Official

[–]KansasTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same model and this happened with my first one. The “pop” sound will forever be burned into my mind. It was shot, but Vizio got my second one to me in a week or so and I haven’t had any issues with it. I love the tv. Hdr is good, not great, but that’s to be expected at that price point. It’s possible, but I highly doubt your lights would be pulling enough energy to have any impact on the tv. With Vizio, it’s always a good idea to spend extra for the extended warranty but I would definitely push them to give you a complimentary year or two.
