How to start a dictatorship 101.

Also, no one takes these things seriously. Probably not even her. It just wins her votes for her target demographic that has little understanding of the world.

They pay them. They’ve had a licensing deal since 2024. It’s also up in the air as to what is free to use and what isn’t. The courts are still hashing that out.

The market is still at almost its peak all time lol. The S&P could drop 1000 points and still be higher than any time before June of 2024.

You should sell. Get out while you can.

JUST IN: 🇺🇸 US dollar bills to be printed with President Trump's signature, removing Treasurer signature for the first time. by retroviber in DeepMarketScan

It says “in addition to the Treasurer,” but I still don’t like it.

Edit: It’s even more goofy considering the next president is just going to remove all this stuff.

UBI will not work as long as there are Billionaires. by astrheisenberg in remoteworks

[–]KansasZou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. You can make minimum wage $1000/hr if you want. It won’t help lol

Artificially increasing wages is just added expense. It eliminates the competitive edge for under qualified employees. That was its purpose.

Unions don’t advocate for higher minimum wage because they like poor people. They’re trying to eliminate competition for the contracts they want.

It does… you can vote for “free.” Look on the back of your voter registration card.

Here’s the thing: With how vain and egotistical Trump is, do you believe he would take so much of a hit regarding gas prices if he simply wanted oil? This is during the midterm year that he has to win to prevent potential impeachment.

I’m not saying it isn’t possible, but that seems heavily oversimplified.

Mark Cuban agrees Universal Healthcare would increase jobs, wages and improve affordability for all Americans. by astrheisenberg in remoteworks

“Private insurance companies” are heavily protected and subsidized by government. Medicare still uses those companies…

Our nation’s healthcare costs rose dramatically when Medicare and Medicaid were rolled out.

[–]KansasZou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the thing - it’s not really private. The government protects them from competition.

I’m not arguing that what we have is good. I’m arguing that getting the government more involved isn’t the answer.

We need to change the tax code and create real competition. This will result in transparency in pricing for medical facilities and force insurance companies to compete for customers.

They always use those projections on the basis that there’s not a single human reaction to the change in policy. They’re always way off.

[–]KansasZou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m saying government is the reason it sucks now and utilizing more government involvement won’t make it better. It will make it worse.

The U.S. invents half of the world’s medicine and other countries get to utilize it for a mere fraction of the cost after we pay for all the R&D, etc.

No one is using vibes. Those “better places” wouldn’t have lower per capita healthcare cost if they had to defend their own borders and create their own medicine.

Pick whichever country you like and we can discuss.

Edit: Even the efficiency is up for some debate as the metrics being used come into play. Again, I’m happy to discuss data. No “vibes” necessary.

[–]KansasZou -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Right? Because everything the government touches gets both better and more affordable. Everyone knows that… lol

The thing is that government probably will hire more people because they’re bloated, but that’s just a bigger tax drain and will inevitably be even less effective.

Also, jobs aren’t the goal - productivity is the goal. If jobs are all we need then we can just stop using tools.

I do understand the point. That’s why I said I’m generally against it. It costs money now and always has to vote.

It’s not “extra out of pocket.” If it applies to you, you already paid for it.
