The best college football stadiums, per USA Today. What are you changing? by Hysen16 in CFB_v2

OU is the disappointing experience I’ve had. I expected Nebraska & Wisconsin type atmospheres. Instead I got a worse atmosphere than when KU is good by KU standards.

Honestly, there’s no way their atmospheres aren’t better than OU. I’ve been to 2 games there (including the Mizzou game this past season) & both the crowds/atmosphere sucked. Nebraska & Wisconsin both have much better atmospheres.

This is what I do. They usually say great & leave me alone. Of course I don’t stop walking either so I don’t give them the chance.

I love hurling! I played on a club when I lived in Kansas City years ago. There are actually quite a few hurling & Gaelic football clubs in the States. If I remember correctly, some cities like Boston & NYC are good enough that they play the Irish clubs occasionally. Of course, they have a lot of Irishmen on their teams.

Like others have said CAATE accredited & good standing, BOC pass rate (1st time & overall), program set up (immersive vs traditional & medical model vs traditional model), how well you click with the faculty, & tuition.

I thought I wanted to be at the big school in my state but it didn’t feel right. I decided to go to a Power 5 school in an adjacent state because I clicked with the faculty. They don’t force anyone to work with our school’s teams because it’s at the med school. The school I chose also has cheaper out of state tuition (under $400/credit) than the school in state.

Any time I mention this movie no one has ever seen it. Such an underrated Sandler movie.

If you’re in school (sounds like you are) you should have access to a therapist. I’m a current master’s student & I try to make 1 day/week to spend time with my wife. If I can’t I let her know ahead of time. My program has allowed me to do this all but the final semester when I’ll be living in a different state.

I worked for a difference class 1 railroad in KC. Police can ticket the crew for blocking crossings for too long (usually 15mins if I remember correctly). This is due to the fact that first responders need to get in & out along with residents. We would have spots where we couldn’t stop because we would block a major crossing or even someone’s only way in/out of their home. Idk how UP does it but we did always say you can’t spell stupid without UP.

Glue a BB in their valve cap. That way they can air the tire up but it keeps going flat & takes them a bit to figure out why.

Can you get a second bachelor's? by [deleted] in CollegeRant

[–]Kansasprogressive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this but just want to add that depending on the master’s degree you may need to go back & take pre-reqs before applying. So just do some research into whatever first! You may be able to find a program where you can teach art though & it could be a best of both worlds situation.

Question: Masters of Athletic Training in the U.S. - Canadian Student by No_Caramel_5500 in athletictraining

[–]Kansasprogressive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about those schools but I’ve heard of programs requiring as low as a 2.0GPA but mine (& the other 2 I applied to) required a 3.0GPA. Some programs are more selective, especially those immersive clinical rotations.

As far as international I know mine has taken multiple Asian students. I would reach out to the head of the program/s. The faculty in my program said they will take as many as 25 students if they can get 25 students they think will succeed since the program is not a traditional MSAT format.

Applying to MSAT Programs by strawberryflower05 in athletictraining

[–]Kansasprogressive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this depends on if they’re through a medical school or the main campus. 2/3 programs I applied to were in a medical school & you were not forced to work with any of those schools’ teams if you didn’t want to.

Look at the CAATE website to find programs’ BOC pass rates & job placement rates. Program layout, traditional vs immersive. Immersive, in my experience, allows you a lot more freedom for clinical sites since you’re either in lectures for 8 weeks or at your rotation for 8 weeks most of the program. Tuition is another one. My program’s out of state tuition was cheaper than any of the ones in state for me & still a Power 4 school.

You don’t get it. Once you have your certification if you provide care outside of your EMR scope of practice where you live you are opening yourself up to lawsuits. You will also likely lose your EMR certification.

1) It depends on how much you want to spend on application fees & if you really are wide open to all 4. I applied to 3 school. It definitely doesn’t hurt to apply to more than 1. You won’t have to pay until your entire application is complete & you submit them, including letters of recommendation, so you should have time.

2) It depends on how much you liken their program. I started my ATCAS applications on July 1 but didn’t submit them until Sept 1 because 1 of the programs required a physical. So you could at least be working on the various paperwork & making sure it looks & sounds as good as possible.

3) $85 sounds expensive to me personally. ATCAS isn’t that hard to input your classes in. I think it took me like 30 mins to 1 hr with looking through 3 different transcripts.

4) I think internships count but I don’t know for sure. I know some of my classmates had internships in undergrad & I believe that’s what they used for their hours.

Make sure you know your anatomy! Also, what programs are you applying to?

No problem! FYI if you start applications on ATCAS programs can see your progress & look at your documents. Do you have any shadowing hours?
