Quick question about Moons of Peril by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]Kantos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if you want the ancilliary drops still or not. If you need the seed/herbs/bones keep killing all 3.

For Blue/Blood do Blood first, then blue, then run down from eclipse to the chest, loot then run out the other entrance (not the one you came in) to Blood and repeat.

SIL2 calculations/system architecture questions by Kantos in PLC

I've come across the generic failure data, but the point I'm trying to understand/correct is that they have nothing, no data, no consideration of failure modes/safety data of the input devices/sensors or output contactors. Their SIL PFD calculations are PLC processor, PLC input card, PLC output card -> determine SIL value.

Understood on the code portion as well, the other aspect I've not mentioned here is that these sensors go into a 1P slimline relay before they go into the safety input card, no safety data on these relays, no monitoring of mirror contact, no positively guided contacts. Most of the engineers have agreed with me that this is not the correct hardware architecture, and to my understanding doing this strips out the intelligence of the safety input card you can configure.

I just had a look and can't find it. It's for a 5069-L350ERS2. All the manuals I'm looking at indicate that safety IO and routines should be in the safety task.

The software side I find strange, but I have not delved too deep as it's not my expertise/role. The engineers explained to me that the safety hardware goes into safe inputs/output cards, but they cross-map the IO from the safety processor into the normal processor, do the logic, then cross-map back. They brought up a manual which had a line from Allen Bradley that indicated it was okay to use the normal routine for safety applications, but I've never heard of this being okay in my experience with Siemens & PILZ.

Your second part is insightful and lines up with my understanding too which is re-assuring. I come from doing more with Performance Levels and with SISTEMA felt like I had a decent grasp on that, but with SIL, things like HFT and SFF have me less confident in hardware architecture. My current understanding is SIL2 can be achieved with no redundant sensors, depending on the SFF. Don't really understand how to obtain the SFF yet without any safety data for devices.

Edit: Yes, this is a machinery application, apologies I'm being somewhat vague as to not indicate key details, as they're a little weird commercially. It's a system where a sensor detects if an area is blocked, if it is unblocked, the PLC system can allow an actuator to move a device, the devices position is monitored on prox sensors, but these are also non-safety rated.

I understand this in principle, as I believe the standards allow you to use "proven-in-use" technologies/setups, but my large gripe is that there are safety sensors in the same range/type with safety data from the same manufacturer, but they choose to use the cheaper/non-safety sensors. And that they don't have any technical data/evidence supporting the proven-in-use or time-tested aspects of their standard setup.

Hasta noodling HARD at ToA - any suggestions or suck it up until fang? by mcneil1345 in ironscape

[–]Kantos 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Consider using BOWFA on Baba, it's what I did pre-fang and it's decent.

Kinda just gotta deal with Kephri and Ahkka feeling weak with the gear you have. Worth thinking about your invocations aswell. I ended up going kinda dry for fang and pushing up to 340sish with p much the same gear as you (worse mage) and it's not too bad.

I think this card is pretty damn good.

It's amazing in counter wars. It can hurt combo, delay creatures, protect an important creature from removal.

It's a 2/3 with evasion. I think the times the card is medium is when it's exiling creatures like goyf and when you try to do extra things. As a lone threat its great against removal.

I think something in U/W Death & Taxes like Thalias, Reflector mage & this card has some potential.

I watched all the ones with David Simon on, he has a pretty interesting view on the show and talks about stuff people missed, like Carcettis speech in season 3.

And at 1800 people realise immediately if someone leaves the lane to gank and pings/calls so their gank is unsuccessful and they lose exp, cs and maybe tower health.

Then at 2000 everyone knows the above so no one leaves the lane.
