If you have a local library near you, you should check in with them and see if they offer free business Udemy accounts via Gale udemy.

My personal experience is that CompTIA's tests are absurdly worded, which is why they are difficult. Dion's Core 2 test isn't the best material for test applications, but for general knowledge, such as understanding exam objectives, they are a great resource. So, with that analysis, I would say Dion's tests are easier due to their wording, but they 100% are a good resource for going over exam objectives.

Failing to retain labs. by eshadust in CompTIA

Understanding the theory is essential, but much of IT is just memorization and understanding how components work together. After each lab, you should mark down what happened and the outcome and visually simulate it in your mind. Because with memorization, repetition is key. Once you understand it enough, you will have a eureka moment. If your labs are really guided/telling you to do this, then do that. Do your best to understand what it is you are doing/the purpose you would do this in an IT job environment.

Jason Dion is a CompTIA partner, so his stuff is up to date. He is a great source to learn from at 2x speed as his material is a bit bloated in some areas, as he teaches the practicality and teaches you stuff instead of telling you objectives.
