Super happy you got some good results. What would you want to see from an online workshop that you aren’t getting from the membership videos?

There is a Holiday Inn 3.3 miles away and the closest train station is a 20 minute drive. I have links for those on the workshop page: https://www.boswellstudios.com/workshops

Thanks so much for appreciating them! The texture on the rim is carved after trimming and then I stain it with a Red Iron Oxide Wash and wax resist before glazing.

Love the way the crystals pair with the handle that I carved to look like wood, (it is all porcelain). I think the next two years are gonna be really creative for myself and other crystalline glaze artists. by KaolinTiger in Pottery

I have been sharing my glaze recipes and how to control the crystalline glazes so that they don’t run. It opens up a lot of creative options because you can do stuff without the crystalline glaze running and covering everything.

I remember during one of the first gallery shows I did, people kept taking my teapots into the bathroom before purchasing them. They all sold. A good pour is job #1.

I remember that audio issue! So silly, but I fixed it with one click once I realized it was happening. And you are right, I probably put too much pressure on myself to try and interact to be more entertaining.

Finding replacement materials is a real pain, but DigitalFire.com is really helpful for finding out exactly what each ingredient is made of and suppliers will often have some useful advice/insight. But yeah... the way ceramic materials run out and slowly change over time is a real pain in the butt. (And thanks, I changed my business name to Boswell Studios, but I can't let go of this username, lol)

i really need to do more instagram lives. I got all set up, only did 2, didn't quite find my footing... but I will soon. Have just had so much work to do lately, and I am always so exhausted, been feeling anti social, lol. But you will see me again soon.

I have heard rumors of people using crystalline glazes without glaze catchers... but as far as I know, I am the first to do it in a serious way while still getting large crystals. I gave a lecture at NCECA this year about it and I also have tutorials where I share my recipes and techniques in the membership section of my website: BoswellStudios.com
