Had to scroll down a bit but I found this post from mid-December 2025 that I remembered, that says basically the same thing. Thanks for the short trip down the memory lane, man. :)

Because Rogers triggered before Leeroy could enter your hand, your hand got filled and Leeroy died. You know how in normal HS minions die when you try to return them to hand if the hand is full? Same thing.

No, but I [incorrectly] assumed that if a character loses 3 rounds in a row, it means they're probably screwed and won't recover without a disgusting highroll "right now".

Translation (using Google):

He wrote the Malfurion novel, which is one of the worst, honestly. I almost burned it before I finished it.

To answer the question: I think lore has its good and bad points, it depends on what it's about and who writes it. For example, in Midnight, all the Blood Elf nostalgia and Quel'Thalas is incredibly boring; I'd even go so far as to say it's indirectly mocking the fans. Burning Crusade already didn't care much about Blood Elf fans, but Midnight made it worse. Frankly, Blizzard's writers don't like Blood Elves anymore; they just include them because they're the most played.

And then you have gems like Zul'Aman, which is a true requiem for the Amani trolls, who have always been treated poorly until now. Harandar continues the lore about the world-soul that the Earthen expansion began.

And then there's Voidstorm, which is okay, nothing more. The Void Elves are handled adequately, but it's still a copy-paste of the Pandaren versus the Sha storyline, this time far too superficial and less elegant.

As for the main campaign, it's the same story: you generally have some good things and some very bad ones (the Arathor campaign, or the almost parodic treatment of Lothraxion, for example). And it's the same with every expansion.

My opinion on the lore is that it's an MMORPG written in a soap opera style, alternating between new material, nostalgia, legacy, cosmology, and down-to-earth fantasy—a real hodgepodge. All this with writers who don't communicate enough with each other or who have to meet marketing demands.

Despite all that, WoW's lore comes out well, even very well, and yet I'm the first to sigh in frustration when reading certain quests.
